You've come quite the 180 degree turn from your original concept with him, haven't you?
Sorry if you're feeling pigeon-holed given the current make-up of the party and all.
Either role would do well in our current party make-up, or even a multi-class split of the two.Videssian said:We'll see what Kefk ends up as.. with your implementation, Kefk is more interesting to me as a fighter.. with Nail's, more interesting as a rogue..
While I agree that Familiarity would be a small but definite plus, and wouldn't tip my proposal over to a +1 LA, I'm not sure I'd agree with it being the racial weapon of one of your racial enemies (Gnomes), even with the novel name change you propose.Videssian said:Something that I think we should add to whichever definition: weapon familiarity, specifically with Heavy Picks and Kobold (=Gnome) Hooked Hammers.. Nail's treating kobolds as a subterranean miner race, and so this makes sense to me.. but does it make sense to Nail? We'll see...
Weapon Familiarity is something that's been added to some
races in the 3.5 PHB.. so it does add a bit of flavor here..
DrSpunj said:I noticed in Unearthed Arcana todaythere are a number of Exotic Weapons listed in the Weapon Groups section that appear in the Arms & Equipment Guide and the Complete Warrior. One of them, the Dire Pick, seems like it might be an Exotic Melee Weapon that would fit here. It can be used 2-handed with Martial Weapon proficiency but requires an Exotic Weapon proficiency to use 1-handed, like the Bastard Sword.
For a Small Kobold it does a respectable 1d6 damage with a x4 multiplier!![]()
How's that suit you?
Thanks.

(Am I missing something terribly obvious?)

I didn't think anyone but a Mod could actually delete a post, even one you wrote. Otherwise, why would there be all those accidental double and triple posts laying around various threads that people edit down to "double post" and whatnot?
I think the best you can do on your own is to edit the post down to "nt" for no text. That, or go to the trouble of bothering a moderator by reporting your own post(s) and asking them to delete them.
Thankfully, I don't seem to be having any trouble with the new boards, at work or at home.![]()
