[MM2e] Salton City Needs Heroes! Episode 1: Premiere

Hermitage Plaza (Continued Description)
The streets that line the Heritage plaza each have one traffic lane that travels in each direction. Besides for the palm trees that line the plaza, people within the plaza are also protected from out of control traffic by concrete pillars that are spaced about five feet from each other.

1:00 -1:05 PM
Hermitage Plaza
Much has changed in the plaza during the time that passed since Michelle parked the van. The most obvious change that that police officers have started to block off the North West bound lane south of the City Hall so that a truck could begin unloading chairs. An unlucky police is lazily watching several laborers unload the van.

Those in the van notice a black surveillance truck drive down the road next to the parking lot. A car's horn sounds. The truck turns into the parking lot and parks next to Emily's production van.

To Sven's displeasure, the ice cream man has long since vanished.


1:05 - 1:10 PM
From the steps, Keiko is able to see several possible locations for a sniper. The most obvious from the 5 story tall building across from the plaza or the the three story tall office building. Another likely spot would be from the southern parking structure, however that location doesn't seem to offer a good angle of attack. The best angles off attack are from the City Hall itself or the government building located next door to it, however, attacking from either location would be almost suicidal.

I might have messed up earlier by getting the position of the tall building and the City Hall flipped.

OOC: I'm figuring that Keiko is doing an extended search using her powers (like a laser pointer only she "sees")..

Terrence grabs a headset from the Pole
"Hmm not the best I've seen but they'll do" Terrence fiddles with the headset a bit "Testing, Testing this is Tango Victor is everyone receiving me loud and clear?"
After a response or two
"Well that seems to be Ok"
Terrence looks out at the surveilence van aiming to get a read on its licence plate and trys to keep the van in the corner of his eye while talking.
"Well I still don't think the suprise plan is too bad an idea, Keiko's disapearing tricks can keep her under cover in and about the crowd, plus if we've been observed they don't know she's out and about, myself I can well lose myself at the least so they don't know where I am, The rest of you however its going to be slightly more difficult, I think between Keiko, myself and Michelle's cat there that we should be able to physically scout out any likely spots for sniping"
"Anywhere I should check out Keiko?"

The surveillance van has what appears to be a blank (?!?) Californian license plate, darkly tinted windows and no visible markings on the van's exterior.

 

[hafrogman]

"Bah."

The Ten-Foot Pole gives up on trying to avoid being seen and unfolds his way out of the van, grabbing a headset as he goes.

"I'll go up high and take a look around."

He makes his way to the east and stands looking up at the buildings. His whole body quickly contracts into normal human portions, but only for a moment as it quickly springs back, launching him into the air.

"Pole Vault!"

[sblock=ooc]I don't have the jumping rules handy, but with 10 ft up and another 5 ft of reach, plus the jump power, I don't think he'll have trouble making it to the 2nd story restaurant, and from there up to the top of the 3 story office building.[/sblock]

 

[Blackrat]

The others dispersing on their ways and having swalloved his popcicle almost whole, Sven is feeling more than little confused and agitated (well he would be if he knew what that word meant). He still didn't know what the plan was, mostly because the others talked so fast, and he had no idea what it was that he was supposed to do. The black truck however looked somewhat promising and Sven gets out of the van, walks up to the truck, and knocks on the door...

[sblock=OOC]Going to knock on the surveillance truck... Maybe it's an Icecream Truck. Strangely colored, but these americans have so many crazy customs you can't be sure...[/sblock]

Keiko replies to Terrance, though anyone with a headset can hear her, "That big building to the south, the five story one. I think that's the place I'd...expect a sniper to go. The government buildings there and there would be good too, except they're guarded on the inside...maybe the cat can set up around there..."

She looks around, sighting on a thin laser point she focuses out her finger, even while invisible. The narrow beam made it hard to see unless one was right in its path. From there she sighted each building around the area to see what was in the straight path.

Then she saw Sven headed for the van.

"Baka," Keiko muttered, and hurried towards the van herself. Maybe while they were distracted by Sven, she'd get a good look at who they were and what they were up to.

 

[Ginnel]

"Good stuff Keik's, hey Michelle can you get that cat up to the government building like the girl said?" says Terrence looking over to Michelle

And into the headset
"Good luck Pole don't stray too far, we don't want it to be asta va lista (in an arnie voice) baby anytime soon, give us a shout if you're in trouble and keep in touch, its good to talk (in a bob hoskins voice)"

"Keiks Michelles checking to see if *audible sigh* "Nocturna's" got enough power to get her to that roof if not I'll scope it out"

Terrence curses as he notices (several seconds too late) a Sven shaped space in the back of the truck he pops out of the van to try and locate the giant

"Pole Vault!"

After a quick series of jumps, the 10ft. Pole lands on a patch of grass that was planted on the top of the restaurant's roof. From his vantage point he see in the office building is giving him a strange look. Accross the way, towards the parking structure he sees a bunch of teenagers standing around smoking pot. The police officer who was observing the work crew man unload the truck is now walking towards the end of the plaza where the restaurant is located... He appears to be talking on his radio.


Seconds after Sven knocks on the surveillance truck's back door, one of it's occupants cautiously slides open a small hatch and gazes out. "Yes?"

On the other side of the van, Keiko is able to make out that the van has three occupants who are dressed in dark suits. The "driver" appears to be looking towards the van's side mirrors while as Sven is distracting the man at the rear of the van. She's not sure what the third man is during. From where she is it's hard to tell if the men are government agents, or mafia.


"Good stuff Keik's, hey Michelle can you get that cat up to the government building like the girl said?"

Michelle nods. "I need you to that building over there and check it out."

*Ninja Cat haz skillz,* Nocturnia's thruster fire up and sends her flying towards the building. *Can has cheezburger?*


A police car screams down the street past the parking lot, heading towards the far end of the plaza with its sirens blaring .


OOC: I'm waiting to see how everyone feels about dusk's blade's offer of standing as Michelle's substitute player until Rev returns form his leave of absence.

"Ieg wyll hav chøklat cøn, og berry cøn, og friis juis stick, og vanilj cøn..." Sven starts to list all the different icecream types he'd like right now, completely ignoring any objections from the man. Because he is feeling a bit pissed off, the list might take some to actually complete.

The man glances inside of the truck towards his companion who nods before the man closes the hatch. A moment later the door of the truck opens slightly and a brief case is pushed through the door. Then door then slams shut after the brief case drops onto the ground.
