[MM2e] Salton City Needs Heroes! Episode 1: Premiere

I might have messed up earlier by getting the position of the tall building and the City Hall flipped.

Terrence walks on down from his hiding place in his normal clothes towards city hall to see what he can see, while listening to the police channel he has with the radio in his trouser pocket and the wire coming up his T-shirt to his ear.
"Right guys I'm off to the city hall, if this threat is real thats where we've got to be, and hell maybe we'll even get the Captain on our side! If we can find him that is"

He's aiming to go inside if he can see an exit round the back otherwise he'll try and go up the main steps on the square[/sblock]

In the Cafe.

OOC: Yes, she is blond.

"Oh my god! You're going to be on tv?!? That is so cool." She glances around for cameras. "I never met an actor before! So where's the cameras.. No wait it must be a hidden camera show! So when's it going to be on tv? Hopefully I'm going to be on it too. My friend Jessica will be so jealous."

Behind City Hall..
"Right guys I'm off to the city hall, if this threat is real thats where we've got to be, and hell maybe we'll even get the Captain on our side! If we can find him that is"

Terrance hurries across the street as he heads towards the backside of city hall. As he on the sidewalk he can clearly see the SWAT truck round a corner and head down just ahead of him. It's obvious to him that anyone of his companions that are foolish enough to remain in the parking lot will have company within a minute's time.

From his position he is able to see that Salton City's city Hall does have a "rear" entrance located next to a patio area, and what appears to be a small cafeteria. Currently there are two men dressed in business suits lounging in the shade of an umbrella-ed patio table.

"Anyone in the van, I hope you like SWAT, with I imagine a side serving of patrolman, So get out of there and Keep in touch"

Terrence heads to a nearby bush and while hopefully no one is looking grows fur and shrinks a bit, his red hair mellowing out a bit into ginger and white which proceeds to cover his entire body

"Bark" goes Lassie, she waits for the rear door to open then leaps the fence surrounding the area as she dashes inside looking for the nearest toilets where she'll nudge open the male side and change into at the first opportunity (whether this takes a quick climb over the a cubicle or crawl under)

Leo will then leave and start taking a walk around the building. If everything goes to plan

Simple stats for Lassie, super sense smell and hearing, shrinking 4, Dex 20, Str and Con same as Terrence, Jumping 8 ranks ranks.

[Shayuri]

Keiko grimaces invisibly as she picks herself up off the pavement. Events were coming rapidly to a head, and they were not completely in control of things yet. She did know that if she didn't take charge of this, the Russians might be able to mislead the police, or even convince them nothing was going on.

She created an image of herself in her suit, but without the mask, jumping over the formerly fleeing van and waving at the police.

"It's all right," the phantom called. "I stopped them! They tried to hire an assassin to kill Captain Superior!"

OOC: Imagine this scene as if it were a episode of 24...

CITY HALL

Terrance runs over towards a bush and turns into Lassie.

"Bark"

An elderly woman on the city council exits the building and pats Lassie on it's head. "Awe ain't that cute.." Lassie sneaks into the building.


Parking Lot.
"Shawn glances at Michelle. "Oh crap... I see the SWAT truck..." He presses onto the intercom button. "Emily.. whats should we do?"

"Look for your press badges and hope they recognize Michelle Fox."

Inside the SWAT Truck.
*We got visual on two of the suspicious vehicles. We can confirm that officer Jenkins is down.*

"Sir watch where you're going!"

The SWAT truck slams onto it's breaks with a load screech and misses the elderly council woman. The woman lifts her cane and thunks it hard on the SWAT van's hood. "You nearly killed me! Your chief will be hearing from my constituents!"

"Sir want me to take her out?"

"At ease officer, she is known to be a mean broad."

Downtown
Keiko's illusion leaps onto the roof of the surveillance van. "It's all right, I stopped them! They tried to hire an assassin to kill Captain Superior!"

The officer in the squad car glanced over to his partner who stood outside the squad car with a smirk. "You hear that? We got you surrounded! Evacuate from your vehicle at once and put your hands on top of your head!"

The driver of the van surrenders.

*This is squad car 4, calling home. The situation is contained.*
*Can you repeat that?*
*An archon is here with us... She said's the fleeing suspects were trying ot hire an assassin to take out Captain Superior...."

The Parking lot
Michelle notices a strange shimmer on the Nocterna's visual display. It's coming from the corner parking structure!

Hall, Lobby.
Terrance hears a commotion near the lobby. When he approaches he is startled to see the building's glass doors are shattered. A few feet away, near the receptionist desk stands Captain Superior.

"What do you mean the Mayor stepped out? Your city is paying for me ALOT of money to protect him. How do you think I could protect him if I do not know where he is!!"

"But Sir he..."

"I don't care! He should be waiting here so I could save him. But no, you decided to let him leave! Don't you understand that my enemies are planning on attacking this building? Don't you care for the lives of everyone you just put at risk by letting the Mayor leave?!? How do you think I can save everyone in this building if I'm not here to protect them? Think lady!"

"The nerve of that woman! She's allied with super villians.."
"I know.. what kind of person would allow a someone leave a place like this when their life is in obvious?"

"But sir he's over..."

"I did not give you permission to speak! Because of you I'm forced to leave this building to search for your mayor who may already be dead! If I were you, I would hope that my enemies don't come and kill you all. If they do, then I hope you burn in hell Missy because you brought this on yourself!"

"Oh my god... Captain Superior just said his enemies are going to kill everyone in City Hall... Someone needs to protect us."
"That woman must be a villian... She purposely is sending Captain Superior away from us when we need him the most..."

"But... he only went to the cafe across the street..." the receptionist sighed as panic begins to ensue.

Ignoring the receptionist's statement, Captain Superior turned to storm out of the building.

The Ten-Foot Pole bites his lip for a moment, trying to decide what to do. He can't protect anybody while lurking in an alleyway. It would really just be best if everyone were to cooperate and work together. Maybe . . . maybe that's what he should do.

He walks to the corner of the alley currently blockaded by the police officers and calls out.

"Um. . . excuse me, officer. I'd like to have a word with you. . . I'm unarmed, and I'd really appreciate you not shooting me. Thanks."

Then he pauses, takes a deep breath, and steps into view.

The officer who is standing outside the car calls out to the Ten Foot Pole. "Sir, put your arms up where I can see them and identify yourself...."

 

[hafrogman]

Shrugging to himself, The Ten Foot Pole holds his hand open wide. . . really wide, palms open and facing the policeman. Attempting to look as non-threatening as he can while towering over pretty much everyone, he steps forward.

"Ah. . . yes, hello. You can call me The Ten-Foot Pole. . . it's sort of a joke you see, because. . . well, never mind. Anyways. I'm not here to cause any trouble, but I seem to have gotten off on the wrong foot."

The officer glances down at his partner. "Enter the name into the database."

Several seconds pass. "Sir, he's listed in the international database of known superhumans. "Mikel Styrz...kwal...ski a.k.a 'The Ten Foot Pole.' It's saids he's a second generation super and is sponcered by the Polish Government!"

The officer holsters his gun. "At ease Mr. Styrzkwalski. So, what brings you to our city?"

The Ten-Foot Pole winces slightly at being called by his real name while in costume. Certainly there aren't any other three-meter tall individuals he could be, but couldn't they even keep up the pretense? Sighing slightly, he stops holding his hands out, and slightly at a loss as to what to do with them next, clasps them loosely together.

"Well, I'm actually here in Salton City for a T.V. show, but that's not really important right now. I'm here, here, because I heard about a threat against the mayor's ceremony. I wanted to help, you know, protect the people. But while I was out and about, taking a look around, somebody tried to shoot me. So I thought I'd best come out and try and explain, and see if we can't just all get along."
