[MM2e] Salton City Needs Heroes! Episode 1: Premiere

Speaking into his Headset to the whole team "Terrence here, hmm I'm a little out of the way at the moment, Emily's info sounds like they're gonna take out the whole building anyone got a quick way to search for bombs?"

"Hey Keiko are you going to be able to make it back? If the information Emily has is true and theres a team of Villainous Villains we'll need the whole team here to make it look good for the cameras, I mean you can't have the first episode and first fight without all of the team can you?"

"Just Holla y'all if you need me, k?" Says Terrence in a bad southern accent

Terrence secrets himself at the side of the underground entrance he has headed into back in his normal jeans and T-shirt

 

[Shayuri]

Keiko replies, "I can get back, but we're going to want these people to get caught. Just a second."

She moves sideways, crablike, over the van to the panel door. There, she concentrates and focuses the surrounding daylight into a tight, hot beam. There's a brief shower of sparks from where the door is now spot-welded shut.

Keiko repeats this on the back doors...then tries to aim a shot at first the driver's side, then the passenger side, to get them too.

(This is probably uncertain enough you may want some rolls, or to let them react to the fact that an unseen force is trapping them in the van. If you decide they don't notice, or don't react in time, then Keiko will shoot out one of the van's tires to force them to stop, then relay the van's location to Terance and have him tell the police where to find it.)

Heritage Plaza, The Cafe.
"Øh, Ieg want iscrem. Sørri Ieg nej talk inglish well, Ieg new in thys contry."
The girl smiled. "We have mocha-ultra-chocolate swirl, vanilla-frappachintastic, creme-latte-expresso-berry, and mint Italian-roast-and-chips."

There is a sonic boom, followed by a loud rumble and what feels like a slight earth quake....

Heritage Plaza, Outside.
The sound of distant police sirens can be heard. From the police scanner chatter you know that the squad cars are converging onto the plaza.

There is a sonic boom and a blue and red blur can be seen flying through the sky. After a moment, the burr changed it's trajectory before it crashed hard into the plaza, causing a small explosion of brick and mortar.

When the smoke and dust cleared, Captain Superior can be seen standing alone within the crater. He glances around then flies straight towards the city hall, through the rows of chairs that has been set out.

Meanwhile, Heritage Plaza, Underground Loading Dock.
"Hey Keiko are you going to be able to make it back? If the information Emily has is true and theres a team of Villainous Villains we'll need the whole team here to make it look good for the cameras, I mean you can't have the first episode and first fight without all of the team can you?"

Meanwhile, Downtown, About 5 Blocks Away...
"I can get back, but we're going to want these people to get caught. Just a second."

There is a moment of silence as Keiko welds the doors together, which is then followed by the sounds of the banging of fists on the door's interior panel.

Suddenly the van screeches to a halt.....
Reflex: 1d20+4=11 vs. DC 15 --> FAIL!
Toughness: 1d20+5=20 vs. DC 12 ---> Success!
....causing Keiko to be dislodged from the surveillance truck. She is unharmed.

Almost immediately, Keiko can hear a voice blurring on a mega phone, "This is the Salton city Police. Come out of your vehicle with your hands up!"

The Ten-Foot Pole looks up suddenly.

"What was that boom?"

He starts making his way back to the plaza, but cautiously. . . remembering his reception last time he made himself visible.

 

[Blackrat]

The girl smiled. "We have mocha-ultra-chocolate swirl, vanilla-frappachintastic, creme-latte-expresso-berry, and mint Italian-roast-and-chips."

Sven pondered for a while, only barely noticing the boom, and finally answers. "Jaa, Ieg wyll hav one øf that."

Guys, SWAT is on the move. I have a bad feeling they're headed our way.

Somewhere near Heritage Plaza.
"What was that boom?"

Emily responds, "Captain Superior..."

The Ten Foot Pole sneaks through an alley way on his way towards the plaza and manages to avoid being spotted by the police officer that is barricading the street as well as a bicycle cop.

OOC: The Ten Foot Pole is now located behind the large building directly opposite from City Hall.

The Cafe.
"Jaa, Ieg wyll hav one øf that."

The girl behind the counter grinned. "One royal straight flush!" The girl glanced past Sven towards the plaza and blushed nervously. "So um... are you a super hero? And um... do you know Captain Superior?"

The Ten-Foot Pole hunkers down against the building, trying to stay out of sight of the policemen just around the corner. He's pretty sure their bullets can't harm him, but he's really got no desire to test the theory right now. He sighs to himself and starts a basic recap in a resigned voice.

"So Captain Superior and SWAT are on the scene. Someone's threatened City Hall and the Police think it's us. There are black vans and suspicious individuals lurking around every corner. We've intercepted the plan to take out the Captain upon which our whole plan centered. And we still have no idea who is planning to attack the mayor or how they plan on doing so. Does that just about sum everything up?

What I wouldn't give for a super-villain!"

Alot is happening so I'll sum up a lot of it.


Current Time: 1:30 - 1:40 PM
Heritage Plaza.
Captain Superior created a large crater and wrecked some of the chairs that were being placed for the ceremony. He is now heading to City Hall.

Heritage Plaza, Cafe.
Sven is ordering ice cream and is talking to the cashier. Some unknown individual spotted Sven, recognized him, and freaked out. The man is locked in the unisex restroom.

Heritage Plaza, Parking Lot:
Michelle is in the parking lot with the camera man in or around production van A.

Emily plus one cameraman is in production van B.

Laying on the ground is Officer Leroy Jenkins.

Heritage Plaza, Parking Structure.
A mysterious man in a van is on the top floor. He appeared to be waiting for something.

The lone foot patrolman has entered into the three story building next to the restaurant.

Heritage Plaza, Nearby neighborhoods.
Ten Foot Pole is in the back ally behind the five story building. A bicycle cop is now heading to the plaza.

A cop car is blocking one of the streets.

Terrance is hiding at an underground loading dock to some building north of the plaza.

Nocturna is wandering around the plaza relaying what she sees to Michelle.

The SWAT team is driving on their they to the plaza. They are currently driving along on the street on the far side of the city hall.

Downtown, 5 blocks away.
Keiko is next to mysterious survaliance van. Inside the van are three Russian speaking men. Two of them are trapped in the back of the van.

A cop squad car is blocking the road. It's unknown if a standoff is about to happen..


What is known:
-There was a threat placed on Captain Superior and the Mayor. If the ceremony that names Captain Superior as the town's protector isn't called off they will die.
-The group has a briefcase with the "hit" orders for Captain Superior, $500 and inferorium bullets.
-Inferorium is good to use vs heroes with super strength.
-Someone called a threat on city hall. The individual said he and a group of supervillians are going to attack and kill everyone at city hall.
