[MM2e] Salton City Needs Heroes! Episode 1: Premiere

Emily shivers as she instinctfully crosses her arms across her chest, then glanced at Sven. "Sven, you don't have to use your power in here. There's an AC panel right next to the room's enterance."

Max Freedman: Dord

As Keiko and / or her duplicates seem to pop in and out of existence, Max watches them with increasing confusion.

"Um ... does she do that a lot?" he asks absently and of no one in particular. Then he shakes his head as if to clear it.

When the Mayor points out that he has copies of the threats against him, Max nods.

"That seems like the best lead we have access to, at least."

"Do we have to do it NOW?" Keiko complains. "We just got back from a pretty big fight. Those records aren't going anywhere, are they?"

At a disapproving glare from the others in the room, she relented though. "Okay, okay. We can go now. It'll be easy. No problem."

Max Freedman: Dord

Max smiles wide as he looks to the others.

"My first mission with the team!" he says with far too much enthusiasm. "Awesome! Oh! Do we have a team battle-cry? Not that I plan on battle-crying city hall, of course..."

Emily leads the group out of the computer room then towards Freedom Theater's underground garage, where the SUVs and Richard Diceman's limo are currently parked.

Mikael glanced at Max.. "You know, we haven't even had time to get to that part of the 'group forming' discussion."

Salton City, Heritage Plaza (Outside City Hall)
Minutes Later, the group returned to Heritage Plaza. In the hour that passed since the Salton Stars last visited the plaza, the scene of your battle had changed drastically.

The folding chairs which were scattered around the plaza are now being loaded into the truck, and the PA equipment has been torn down as a result of the press conference's postponement. The police presence has changed from a massive containment force to a much leaner security force overlooking the damaged storefronts as the insurance adjusters begin their work at tabulating the damage.

However, the most noticeable change is the existence of many media trucks and reporters that have arrived and are in the process of making reports. This, of course, isn't surprising considering that a "terrorist attack" and rumors of Captain Superior's hospitalization is obviously a bigger story then Captain Superior being honored by a mayor and given a parade. As the group's vans circled the plaza it became clear that it would be difficult, if not impossible to enter into City Hall without being noticed by a news crew...

OOC: Emily and Richard stayed behind to go through the first several hours footage that was obtained. Currently only two of the camera men are with you (Cory and Shawn).

Keiko looked around at the hullaballoo and glanced at her teammates.

"Looks like we could use a distraction."

Her eyes narrowed in concentration. Just then, a limousine pulled out from between a pair of buildings and drove up to the square. The doors opened, and out popped Britney Spears, flanked by Lindsey Lohan and Justin Timberlake. The three mostly has-been starlets trotted out merrily into the square, waving at everyone.

"Wait for it..." Keiko muttered, concentrating and watching the news crews intently.

Max Freedman: Dord

"Excellent!" Max said as Keiko's illusion rolled around the corner. To Sven he adds, "Those are the distraction, I think."
