MnM3 Centropolis (Re-bot)

Spider-Man's durability is nowhere as boosted as his strength. It's certainly superhuman, but not anywhere near his strength. His survivability is all agility and spider sense.

Alright, so, here we have the classic issue with trying to create published superheros with an RPG system. Namely, no one can really agree on what abilities the superheroes should have, and to what extent. Comic book characters are always written in fairly arbitrary ways; their abilities varying sometimes dramatically to suit the needs of the current narrative, and the opinions of whatever writer is currently working on the title.

Maybe it's best not to spend too much time on it, unless the argument itself is what y'all are finding enjoyable. There's no actual resolution to this. :)

I'll agree his strength is far more boosted then his durability, but we're still taking about someone who can tack blows from supers who Walk through walls and, while feeling it, keep on fighting right after. Bricks don't have to simply shrug off anything without a scratch, though that is the archetype.

 you are missing What I'm saying, I'm Saying THE spiderman, the marvel character, Is in Fact a Brick: He has greatly enhanced strength and durability. But since he never Acts like one, no one ever thinks of him like one. Not saying Spidy is a brick on par with The Thing or Hulk, be he is still cable in the role, if under powered for it.

Spidy also has very impressive ability as a fighter, able to keep up with most of the Elite melee supers/experts in the marvel universe. That is another point of conflict between Marvel spidy and the one we see above and underlines that spider man is a very point intensive character.

Don't forget that the Spidey we see now in the comics has had about 50 years of character development. The version above is a gifted fighter (Ftg 3), but would mostly use his webbing rather than his fists. He's also just starting and hasn't gained experience.

And Marvel heroes have significantly magnified in power over the years as each writer tries to one up the last.

It does not show when through his mask but it is hard for him to conceal in his secret identity. Motivation – Justice: As Tarantula, the spirit of Justice, is very important to him. He will go out of his way to seek to make sure criminals get what’s coming to them.

Clint Edwards was in his first year residency to becoming a doctor when he was assaulted while trying to aid an elderly couple from being mugged. The thugs beat Clint unconscious after he unsuccessfully tried to defend the couple and then threw him into the river to drown. This triggered something in Clint’s psychic or mayhap awoken some latent mutant gene; whatever the cause, Clint was changed. As he was dying he saw a mystical spider like being reach down and drag him out of the water and onto dry land. The spider being told him that he was saved for a purpose… that purpose was to become his avatar on Earth – Tarantula – his minion of justice.

I love how he is not a spiderman clone and yet is Highly spider themed: Nice job!
That said, I never think of spiders as innately being about justice, but who can say what animals are truly just? :3

:D the spider of JUSTICE ;)... I still plan on playing him as a wise cracker, just one dedicated to fighting crime and punishing villains
