need advice on spellcasting character

On the Divine Side, you can either go Cleric/Radiant Servant of Pelor, or straight Druid (with Natural Spell, all the natural buff spells, wild shape, and your animal companion, you can outfight the fighter, as well as be a nasty blaster).

Arguably, Warlocks can do nasty things with super-cheap staffs at 12th level.

I would actually go with the Warmage. Just throw on top of it a good Arcane Disciple in, say, Healing or Trickery and you have one annoying character.

woah, i didn't expect so many replies, i'm honored :p . We're starting at level 5. I don't think i'll go for the home made broken spells thing, as i want my new dm (and ex player) to see what rules-abusing leads to (besides, what's more broken than starmantle?).
I'd really like to try the uber-sorcerer-blessed-of-mesos thing, but i can't get my hands on the book. What i don't like about warmages is that they mostly depend on the abilities the class gives and which are not included in the +1 level of spellcasting class thing, making prestige classes a bad choice. Regarding to the warlock, i've heard things about how broken he is and stuff, but i can't understand where that brokeness lies ( i haven't studied the class that much to be honest ). I mean can a warlock compete with spells like meteor swarm, or time stop (coupled with delayed blast fireball)?

P.S. I can't go radiant servant of pelor. my party is evil

P.S.2 The rage mage quite appealed to me. Is it worth the 5 lost spellcasting levels?

P.S.3 Are there any D E C E N T psion prestige classes anywhere, cuz the ones in the expanded psionics handbook kinda suck if you ask me :heh:

again, thanks for all the advice

It is if you play epic. Rage Mage/Frenzied Berserker/Cosmic Descryer can kill just about any deity you can name, if you catch him unprepared.

I've always liked the trick where you Polymorph Any Object into something strange and powerful, myself.

How cheap? The cheapest staff I can make is for two first level spells that cost 2 charges each to use. This costs 2627gp, and is next to useless for a UMD user. If I use both spells equally, I have 12 uses of one and 13 of the other, all at caster level 8. Not very useful.

Oops! I misread your post. I had the thread started and everything, and I came back here to point to it, and saw that you did not want to pull this practical joke, so there's now a "please close this thread" thread in the rules forum.
