New movies (and TV) seem to be lacking--oomph

I liked Starsky and Hutch when it was on TV and I find Ben Stiller very funny BUT S&H a comedy???????? .

Also Alamo a PG-13 rated movie? They could have done so much more :( with a R rating. I am hoping they do not hold back.

And TV...the new pics of the Lost in Space robot...they just lost a viewer if that is the robot.

So what is coming up that leads you to believe that it could of been something but will be lacking.

Constantine. There's potential in the source material. It looks a lot like they've chosen to ignore it all. And they cast Keanu Reeves, which cannot bode well.

I don't know...I don't really think there's much of anything coming up that's going to be interesting on TV at all, and the movies doesn't seem to offer that much by way of interesting material for a while, yet, except for perhaps Hellboy.

Frankly, I'm still coping with the fact that the Punisher may not, in fact, suck at all.

I just Marvel would stop scraping the bottom of the barrel with its characters....Iron Man? Good. Werewolf-by-Night? Huh?

Star Wars Episode 3. Then again, how low can they go? :D

When I come out of the theatre and realise that Lucas has discovered yet new depths, R-REG, I'm smacking you with the Hong stick.

Fair warning.

I'm not so sure that our expectations are attainable. It's natural to believe that shows/movies should be better when you compare things to what has come before, and how far technology has come, but I'm in a camp that believes that the next really big thing to tweek our buzz bones will be virtual advancements. Just wait until your movie seat is within the film via a high-tech helmet. After that, holodecks. At a certain point, a two dimensional image trying to mimic a three dimensional experience can only satisfy so much.
