I wasnt really happy with my 1st level Prismatic Orb spell so I decided to try a different aproach..
Prismatic Ray
Level: Mys 2, Sor/Wiz 1
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Close (25 ft+5 ft/2 levels)
Effect: Ray
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: See Text
Spell Resistance: Yes
This spell fires a ray of prismatic light at your target. You must succeed at a ranged touch attack to hit. Roll randomly to determine the rays effect on the target
D8 Colour Effect
1 Red 1d4+ 1d4/2 levels fire damage
2 Orange 1d6+1d6/2 levels acid damage
3 Yellow 1d8+1d8/2 levels electricity damage
4 Green Poison 1 Con damage/1 Con damage (Fort negates)
5 Blue Stunned for 1 round (Fort negates)
6 Indigo Confused for 1 round (Will negates)
7 Violet Teleported away from caster, 5 ft/level (Will negates, cannot arrive in object)
8 Roll again

This spell creates orbs of light that shimmer in all the colours of the spectrum. You have one orb at 3rd level, and may create one orb for every 4 levels beyond 3rd, with a maximum of 3 orbs at 11th level. You must succeed at a ranged touch attack to hit a target with an orb. Roll randomly for each orb to determine its effect
