Officially the most ridiculous product ever.

So I was watching TV and an infomercial came on. The whole time, everyone is thinking, I hope this is a joke. But it's not.

www.motormate.com

The infomercial was for the G-Whiz! G-force indicator, but all of their products are crazy.

"When your turning and the G-force indicator goes into the endzone, it's time to turn the other way." Then they show someone rapidly jerking out of a turn. It's unsafe, and they have the gall to charge $29.95.

Almost as bad as whoever has to order a pizza in WoW by using the /pizza tag.
I think that's Everquest, not WoW.

WoW did an April Fool's joke about it, though:
/panda

It's slightly sarcastic, of course. Excerpt:
In less time than it takes your party's casters to regain mana (even less if you don't have a mage), you can order Chinese take-out from the comfort of your chair! No more tedious walking over to the telephone! No more arduous pushing of unfamiliar phone numbers!

Obviously, you didnt see or hear about the counterfeit mini's...its part of the mini cooper ad campaign.

I dont have the URL for it, but I bet someone will link us up now that Ive mentioned it.

Lately, Cooper has been showing informercials about rediculous things...the counterfeit mini campaign would let you order a cd or DVD about how to spot counterfeit minis so you wouldnt get ripped off by 'disreputable dealers.' This is just an extension of that campaign (as you can guess since every one of their movies at the link above ends with the mini cooper logo).

And BTW, dont send them $29.95, unless you really do want one of their gadgets!

holy crap!

I saw a 30 second commercial for that the other day and thought it had to be a joke. I thought "hey, I didn't know I was watching Comedy Central." i thought it was one of those fake commercials you see on SNL and Mad TV....

I... reallly don't know what else to say....

The Hey Horn is not quite as loopy as the G-wiz gadget, but really... that stuff is so crazy and stupid that I will lose all faith in the capitalist system if they are still around in 3 years.

I can't believe they don't have cushions for the outside of your car, so it doesn't get damaged or damage other cars in parking lots.

Edit:
Doh!.. after reading the thread, I see it isn't for real..... thank gawd!

Call me punked :o

I was wondering about the Mini logo. But I went through the check-out process (didn't buy anything, of course) but you can complete it to order a product. Which is still wierd.
