• NOW LIVE! Into the Woods--new character species, eerie monsters, and haunting villains to populate the woodlands of your D&D games.

OK, here is the official I gave up on this series thread!

I tried to watch Battlestar Galactica last year. Got lost in the first ep and haven't been back.

Tried Boston Legal but got nauseated by watching William Shatner do nothing but want to get into Heather Locklear's expensive suit.

My fav this year is Commander In Chief. That's the only new show I've watched.

Dropped Surface, for the reasons mentioned variously by others. :)

For the record, I just read that "Supernatural" has been doing well in the ratings and was picked up for the season.

There's only one show I watch each week, everything else fell by the wayside: NCIS.

All of the CSI's went flat, My wife stopped watching Law and Order (thank you God!) when they brought in that new guy (Farina? always hated him). Threshold, Surface, etc., and so on, just didn't hook me enough to finish their pilots let alone pick them up.

I'm still hooked on Lost, but I dont watch it when its on. Got tired last season of being forced to watch 2 re-runs for every new episode. I'll pick up each season as it hits DVD.

NCIS is wobbling, though. Its beginning to look like they really are going to keep that Isreali agent, and that may do it in for me. The redhead from last week was cute, why can't she step up? (She acted better too.)

Hmmm. I haven't given up on anything yet. I recall some shows that started not so well and got better, so I'm not going to give up just yet. As it stands I started watching the following:

ST:TNG - Final episode, watched the rest in sydication
ST:DS9 - Season 3
Buffy - Season 5
Angel - Season 3
Alias - Season 3
Smallville - Season 2
X-Files - Season 3
24 - Season 3
Stargate SG-1 - Season 5
CSI - Season 4
Arrested Development - Season 2

So it's fun not coming in at the middle and scrambling to see old shows. None of them suck so bad as to be unwatchable, so I'll stck with 'em for a least a while longer.

And people wonder why networks drop shows like they do...

I'm dropping "Invasion," "The Night Stalker," and "Joey." I'll probably drop "Kitchen Confidential" too - right now its best feature is that it comes on immediately after "Arrested Development."

Of course, that means I'll be watching a grand total of no new shows that started this season. Thank God for DVDs!

Well, the only shows I watch consistently to begin with are Stargate SG1 and West Wing. SG1 still has me, but I'm considering dropping west wing, just because several of my favorite character seem to be either written off already or on their ways out the door. I'll give it a couple more weeks though for old times sake.
