I have some questions:

"I am Lord Sensbane of the Merkhant Sect, but you can call me Jach."

Do I recognize this name?
Is Merkhant a spelling error for Merchant or just colloquial or does it have any other meaning.
If he's a merchant, do I know what he does?

"Interesting, the cosmic tapestry weaving our fates together in this forsaken place. Orris Hariri, Regent and Knight to the illustrious Cyprian Arkwright. Your introduction carries a certain weight." He leaned in closer, his tone conspiratorial. "As for the puzzle you've mentioned, it seems we're all entangled in this web of chaos. If they lie in that direction," Jach gestured in the indicated direction, "then I suppose we're left with little choice but to follow the threads and see where they lead." He adds as an afterthought: "Did you all use that oaf Rusty for portal secrets as well? Isn't he just the WORST?! I must admit, the desire to give him a piece of my mind upon returning to Sigil is almost as motivating as the actual purpose of my journey. It isn't about the currency he extracted, but the principle of the matter."

Orris is naturally suspicious. Is there any indication that he's questioning the things I'm telling him?

Orris is naturally suspicious. Is there any indication that he's questioning the things I'm telling him?

Jach doesn't seem to question or care too much about Orris's title or things he's indicating. Perhaps it's all part of his persona to be 'too powerful/important to bother.'

Possibly - he might have heard a few obscure things or such- he's not quite famous.

However Izek is not close at the moment to Orris and Jach - out of earshot. Perhaps once things calm down, it might come out in conversation.

Described my character as 'not particularly agile' then looked at his stats and remembered 14 Dex. I guess that qualifies as pretty agile. Oh well, he's not used to running through burning buildings.

You have pretty good insight. You could try to get a feeling of the other characters/NPCs without needing to say anything
