I expect to have resolved the damage drom the storm tomorrow, mounting new holders and tightening the supports.

I enjoyed the marketplace. I have one comment, this may be just me, occasionally I feel like you're giving away solutions or pushing us in a specific direction.
This may be simply to focus us in PbP, maybe your normal way of DMing...I don't know, but that is the feeling.

Yeah, maybe. I was a bit worried about that. Do you have a specific example? My normal way is more sand-boxy.

Part of it is I have several solutions in my mind but sometimes I don't know if I'm describing the scene well and pbp doesn't lend itself to players asking questions so sometimes I feel like I want to hint at multiple options? IDK.

Like the Scene with the zombie brawler of Kord. I wanted to let snarf know he had time to hide, or to move to another room but I hadn't really described the doors. He also had a key that he could lock the door and I wanted to make sure he remembered he had a key. I actually thought he might run away and lock the dude in the dining room. But in any case, the way I described the events probably strongly hinted that he should hide. But it was more me saying, "hey, if you want to hide, there are places to go in the room or in the next room" because I'm trying to head off questions....

As far as pushing a specific direction....it is kind of a railroad. This is a one-shot after all. I have a pre-written adventure so I'm kind of pushing you towards it. Everything so far has been set up for the adventure. Sorry about that. You had options to get to this point. If you'd chosen to, say, run away and not go in the city, I would have had to do some serious change of plans....but it was overwhelming odds outside the city so I don't know how that would have gone.

You didn't have time to grab the halfling armour. You grabbed the scale mail for yourself instead. Caer was going to grab halfling armour for Benny but then decided not to and I gave both Steve and Snarf an Inspiration for the trouble.

Items:

@Snarf Zagyg :
  • The purple foggy ring is of fey origin and is designed to fool people. It casts Blur (1 minute, no concentration) 1/long rest
  • The wooden Medallion: Gives you uncanny gardening abilities: Advantage to identify and tend plants. Let's you cast Druidcraft at will.

@FitzTheRuke
  • The box has 200gp worth of silver jewelry in it
  • It contains a ring of Puzzler's Wit
Ring, uncommon

This silver ring bears a fluorite stone and is enchanted to sharpen the wearer’s mind.

The ring has 3 charges and regains 1d4 − 1 expended charges daily at dawn. When you make an Intelligence check, you can expend 1 charge to grant yourself advantage on the check.
  • New armour Scale
  • Holy Symbol of Stronmaus. On top of being a holy symbol, it also lets you cast spells without needing a free hand.

@Lidgar
  • Holy Symbol or Corellon Letharian: Give you 1 extra turn/long rest (given by Stratus, I assume)
  • 2 potions of healing (2d4+2)
  • 1 vial of holy water (2 castings of protection from evil)

@Steve Gorak
  • 1 potion of healing (2d4+2)
  • 1 vial of holy water
  • 1 potion of Haste (1 minute)
  • 1 potion of Sleep (target has to drink it. Will fall asleep for 1 hour or until woken up.)
  • 500gp worth of Spell Components
  • Scroll PRotection from Evil (level 1)
  • Scroll Heroism (Level 1)
  • Scroll Unseen Servant (lvl1)
  • Scroll Mirror Image (lvl 2)
  • Spell Component Pouch
@Kobold Stew
  • 1 potion Cure L wounds 2d4+2
  • 1 vial Holy Water
  • Amulet of the Careful Merchant: Sanctuary 1/Long Rest (given by a woman you rescued when the comet fell)
  • Spell component pouch full of Dried grasshoppers
@Neurotic
  • Face Puncher: Magic Gauntlets, +1 damage and can do 1d4+1 force damage 1/long rest when you hit.

And Kords armor? I need to check, but I thought I got it off to be cleaned, that's why I clanked so much. And then stratus can (maybe?) Get mine and Benny his leather

Strange. How I remember it is that Caer dropped the halfling armor and I picked it up and threw it in my sack. Am I misremembering and it was that I grabbed armor upgrades for Deirdre? I'm sure that there were two suits of armor in the bag.

Yeah, I’d read that and didn’t mention it at the time but each person only had time to gather one suit every 10minutes time lapse.

Yeah you got the breast plate and stratus got his armour. Caer was grabbing the last set and then changed his mind

I'm not quite sure how to do it, and in a face to face game, it could be done with a quick back-and-forth, but I think it shows here that the main areas to improve the encounter (and any like it) with have to be a matter of clarity to timing - both in checks (and the number of them) and in actions (what counts and what doesn't when it comes to taking your turn).

I recall times when you asked me if there was anything else that I'd like to do, because what I posted didn't quite take my turn, but it sounds like there were also times when you edited our turns down (which is fine, of course, but it wasn't always clear). I'm also not 100% certain that we would not have attempted to stay one more round, for example, had we known that we'd left some things undone.

Again, this is all mild (hopefully constructive) criticism, and the encounter was overall great, so I'm not really complaining, just observing a few wrinkles.
