Anson steps up and does his best to avoid the cadavers, and begins to light the beacon. It is in terrible shape, he notices, and there's water (could it be blood?) pooling inside. Nevertheless, he begins to light it.

It's 1d3+1 turns, right? in which case, it's 1d3=3+1=4 rounds to get this one lit. Ugh.
Just a couple things:

1. As a reminder, You can spend a Hit Dice to light the beacon in a single action
2. I've already rolled how long it will take to light the beacon because I prefer it to be a surprise when it will light.
3. Two people striking will help it go faster.

I know everyone posted an action but, given we are waiting turns for initiative, I won't be upset if people change their minds and retcon the stuff you've already posted. When your turn comes, feel free to post again. I'm going to presume that all your previous posts were flashbacks to your conversation while you were making your plans.

Waiting for Caer @Snarf Zagyg to do his turn then I'll narrate the next skellies. And @FitzTheRuke, you can post a parry if you want.

This initiative thing makes things take longer and it's a bit of a headache in pbp. I'm glad we're not doing it all the time. I kind of like the chaos it's causing, though. It makes battle a less predictable.

Double post:

OOC: Why aren't we waiting in this perfectly set up spot for them to come to us?

As a GM, I'm trying to narrate what's happening and make sure people's tokens are stationed properly so, my impression was everyone was going to rush towards the Brazier and the high AC fighters:
Stratus, Deidre and Havoc would move to the halfway point of the room, using the pillars to block skellies and block from there instead of blocking from the hallway.

To me both tactics have its pros and cons:

Waiting in the hallway lets Havoc and Stratus parry for each other and block attacks and dodge but few people can get attacks in. Except Anson and, maybe Benny. Also note, the skellies have bows so this tactic might not work too well for very long.

Moving in exposes more people to attacks but still lets you guard the group gives you an opportunity to use the brazier to destroy everything.

But once again, initiative order may throw a wrench in things.

Nice!

When did you cast HM?

I've been tracking time and you've been in the crypts for about 15 minutes. 10 minutes in the first room and about 5 minutes exploring and talking about your approach to this room.

I tracked it when I first cast it (post 359) and I've been trying to keep track (post 372- 10 minutes). 15 minutes is what I have as well!

@Kobold Stew I'm currently in the middle of a lengthy post. Which skelly do you want to attack? the one with 5hp (finishing it) or a new one (#number 3 moved in on havoc and number 6 moved in on Caer) you'd leave it at 1hp.

@Neurotic you were attacked and missed as you moved north. Are you using riposte?

double post (again)

IC post is up. Let me know if you want to change anything about your movement or position.

All attacks of opportunity missed.

Side Note for Benny: Max is not in combat. I assumed he's hovering high above. The skellies still don't even know he's there.
