As an FYI: I'm around all weekend. Monday was my goal for finishing so if people are around to post I will definitely be keeping my eye on things. I'm hoping, at a worse case, to be done by Friday. I go out of the country next week.

@Kobold Stew sorry if there’s confusion but you already came down the stairs from area 6 (technically, area 9 but I flipped the map upside down). Anson is in the lead going towards the dark, unlit hallway towards the intersection. Also, you have no light source.

Don’t worry about failed persuasion checks. I’ll ask for a roll if one is necessary.

The initial check failed so they aren’t going to trust you but I’d rather rp the conversation and that will affect the DC once I think the conversation isn’t going to go any further.

OTOH, you don’t know anything about their motives so if you want to move to combat, we can.

I know this is PbP so I'm wondering if I should just keep dialoguing until someone posts, "yeah, lets attack!"

Or if I should pause the discussion and let you guys decide what you want to do.

@FitzTheRuke If you jump the pit, are you planning on attacking or just advancing?

@Lidgar were you also thinking you want to attack?

People can also roll insight to get a feeling of their dynamic. Whether they are planning to attack or are delaying tactic or what-not. you can do it here in OOC

Depends on how aggressive these guys are. He'll advance and give them a lecture. If they seem hostile, he'll defend himself. He's willing to attack first, if they look like they're going to draw on him, though!
I just responded IC (with two separate posts). I'm just not sure how advancing (especially running and jumping at them) would not look like a threat. Right now there's a 15 foot pit between you which is enforcing a 'safe' distance.
