[OOC] The Ultimate Dungeon

Camelot

Adventurer
This is for out of character talk for the Ultimate Dungeon, and I will detail the game stats of items and situations when the need arises.

As for now, roleplay to accustom yourselves with your characters, then begin your excursion. Also, I left the details of what your character looks like up to you, so you may expand on that (I did give you the height and weight, but things like complexion, hair color and style, etc. are for you to decide).

Reread your post, Sir Osis. Your minotaur is so awesome you don't want to play the Deva. That's pretty much how Ata felt, I think. It's one thing if everyone is equally lame, and something entirely different if you see others rocking out while you struggle to contribute.

Granted, Ata didn't give it a shot, but I can't really hold it against him. The game is about having fun, and if he knew he wasn't going to because he was going to be frustrated by being ineffective, then more power to him for realizing it and avoiding the issue.

I actually meant my character is awsome because i really like minotuars. Honostly, when i make a character i rarely think about the numbers. I just go with what ever concept sticks me as interesting and fun when i'm making my character. I actually really like miss matched race/class combos, it can make things more interesting. Not to say i never try and make optimal characters, i just don't make it a big focus when i'm building my characters.

But everyones differant, and i do think it was good of Ata to be up front about things and do what was best for him by dropping out. It's very cool that he didn't feal the need to stick around a game he wasn't going to like and potently kill some of the fun for the other players.

Very true. If Ata is a power gamer, I completely respect that he wouldn't have fun with that character.

I think there was a shout of interest in playing Seqoka, actually. Problem is, it was late, and without remembering who, I deleted the PM. Oops. Seqoka will indeed be played, but until whoever it was speaks up (I assume they are keeping track of things), I shall be the deva.

The way we will handle combat is you just post your next move when you get the chance, giving conditions if needed (i.e., I'll use this melee attack, unless the monster moves away then I'll use this ranged attack. In this case, you'd make seperate rolls for each attack) and I will tell you the results of your actions in the order that they happen.

Also, I'm sorry about the map, I can't figure out a way to create one with my computer. Does anyone know about an online source I can use (a free one, that is)?

here's a wonky question.... do I get to attack as well as my bear or do I attack through my bear?.. it's not very clear to me in the rules... can I use an at will with my bear and make a basic melee attack as well I wonder?

The spirit companion uses your standard action to attack, so no, only one of you gets to attack on your turn.

Adding to the confusion, either or both of you can move using only one of your move actions.

I noticed that part.. they made sure to make that part clear.... so far... definitely not liking shamans that much... then again.. they are a VERY strat based class and we so far have no map to speak of... thus adding to my slight dislike to the class... not to be confused with the character though.. I'm enjoying playing her so far heh.....
