Muahahaha!

Not so much of a surprise for me. I have had the highest confidence in the 'nucks. I figured if they could make it to the playoffs, despite their pre christmas record, that they would be likely to win the cup.

They have been a great team all year, something was just missing at the start. Now that they have it, things have been fantastic.

Detroit has been putting a lot of pressure on though, especially in the 2nd and 3rd periods of game 2 (after they got their first goal). Luckily our Canucks have risen to the challenge. Detroit has done an amazing job at shutting down our first line, Naslund has hardly touched the puck.

The city is really behind them, there is a really good energy. Things are going to get really crazy now that they are playing on home ice.

Well I have to say I'm VERY pleased with how the 8th seeds are doing. Course I'm a little torn with the Boston/Montreal thing...but I still hope the Habs pull the upset. (Fan of the underdog)

Speaking of underdogs how about those Canes and Erik Cole!? Man if someone doesn't wake him up he might just get 16 goals before all is said and done! :) Btw, that's a good series out there.

Still think though Detroit will pull it together...or Scotty going to pull some people apart! But congrats and I cannot WAIT to see what Tommorrow brings.

While it's nice

ummm...the Islanders had Todd Bertuzzi...they traded him about the same time they ditched Palffy...

I know that's the joke, which I stole from John Buccigross. He used it in reference to Tommy Salo however.

While it's nice to see the Canucks beating the snot out of the Wings, where is the rejoicing over the Devils losing?

Overall the right teams are winning in all but two series (Col/LA and TOR/NY).

Trust me, I'm rejoicing! :D

Though I do want the Avs to win. They should at least make it to the second round, even if the Kings ARE a better team.

Other than Detroit being down 2-0, all my picks are right on. I am a happy man right now...25 years of watching anything hockey related gives you this almost prescient feeling right about now...

:D

So, is Peter Forsberg a hockey god or what? I mean, the guy misses an entire year, and he has 5 points in his first two games back on the ice, in the playoffs no less! LA is a very talented team, and Colorado has had problems scoring all year, but with Peter back and playing like he has, I think the Avs could go all the way.

Go Avalanche!
