[OT]How many of you like the band KISS?

Nope, never been a KISS fan.

And I'm even less a fan of folks who play "modern" music as "theme songs" for their D&D games. Personally, we use exclusively orchestral movie soundtracks. No Knight's Tale game for us!

Yep, I too grew up on KISS and loved them till it seemed they just went away. I was happy to see them get together again for their reunion tour but sadly I didn't get to see them. :(

I remember the same folks that said D&D was evil also said KISS stood for "Kings or Knights in Satan's Service."

It's still funny how back then people became really polarized on the issue of liking them or not. In some circles it was fashionable to hate them. People ended up being closet fans like closet gamers.

KISS rocked hard enough. Unfortunately they are remembered for crappy songs like 'Rock 'n' Roll All Nite' and 'Shout it out Loud'. They have plenty of rockin' tunes that I would definitely classify as metal (Parasite, Almost Human, God of Thunder, Goin' Blind, Black Diamond, 100,000 Years...). It was, after all, the 70's.

KISS went downhill way before they took the make-up off though. Anything after the solo albums, up to the time they took the make-up off, was pretty much disco(the only reason I don't include the solo albums is because Ace Frehley's rocked). Disco Bad! I don't care for anything they did in the 80'sThe Revenge album had a couple high points, and is probably their best non-compilation album since Ace Frehley's '78 solo album.

All in all KISS has sucked more than they've rocked. However, when they did rock, they rocked pretty hard, so I still dig 'em.

I never liked Kiss... I prefer talent in my music.

I suspect if you were to ask the age of those that like it... you'll see that it's a generational thing. I'm 30 and just missed the whole Kiss-craze. Thank the gods.

Went through a KISS phase in high school, had all their albums (up until 1990). Still a bit nostalgic about their songs, wouldn't buy another album though. I like them, I guess.

I'm 28, and got into the Kiss-craze at about 4.
