D&D 5E Out of the Abyss IC

Kago stands his ground as the wave of force washes over him, though he can feel the microscopic particles of dust and debris peeling away at his skin underneath his armor. When the wave ceases, he asks Gruumsh for help.

With his hammer gripped tightly in his right hand, Kago lifts his left. A flash of light streaks from his palm toward the priestess, and Kago smiles. "Gruumsh doesn't like you."

OOC: Attack action: Use Guiding Bolt vs. Asha, Ironman style: Guiding Bolt: 1D20+4 = [13]+4 = 17
4D6 = [2, 3, 6, 1] = 12

[sblock=If Asha is still alive]"And Kago hates you!" the orc rages. He storms toward Asha, swinging his hammer in a wide, unforgiving arc.

[sblock=If Asha is STILL alive]FML :-S[/sblock]

[sblock=If Asha is dead]Kago stands over Asha limp body, the rage literally dripping from his stained tusks. He appears to want to say something, but the words cannot escape his massive, heaving chest. Finally he looses a roar that can surely be heard throughout the entirety of the underdark.[/sblock]

OOC: Sorry for all the if-thens. Just too many variables this round to get it all out without them. I'll post Kago's minisheet when I know if he's had to use Warpriest for the first time or not.

End of Round 2

Brinn tucked Stool under one arm and Jimjar under the other then rocked the basket to and fro to build momentum. When the basket at last neared the cliff face, Brinn defied gravity by leaping from the basket toward the wall. He used his feet to springboard against the cliff face, then tucked and rolled to a landing on the chasm floor. Stool and Jimjar were unharmed, though Stool appeared to be quivery. Jimjar cackled with the thrill of Brinn's mad leap. Brinn, however, landed funny and suffered 2 points of damage. A third small-sized creature sidle up to Brinn. A deep gnome. It looked worse for the wear, puncture wounds on its cheek, and a ragged cut on its thigh, but it made no hostile move toward Brinn or Stool. Brinn recognized Turvey. The little gnome said something in garbled Undercommon that Brinn didn't quite catch.

His hammer gripped in a tight fist wrapped like a coil around the weapon's hilt, Kago barked an insult at Asha, and hit her with a bolt of light that streaked from his palm, dealing 12 points of damage. The orc warpriest stood triumphantly over Asha's limp body, the rage literally dripping from his stained tusks. He appeared to want to say something, but words failed to escape his massive, heaving chest. Finally, Kago loosed a roar that rang throughout the Underdark.

Something nudged Raza in the back gently. Raza craned her neck, only to realize Shuushar had returned. With two large coils of silk rope looped around his shoulders.

OOC: END OF COMBAT. Please post a will. That was a hell of a long time on combat rounds; my compliments on a job well done. To summarize, these creatures are dead: Asha, Giant Spider, Red Quaggoth, K'nyr, Drow Guard 1, Drow Guard 2, Quaggoth 1, Quaggoth 2, Topsy, Sarith, Ront, and Eldeth. Derendil and Buppido disappeared, as have Brinn, Stool, Jimjar, and Turvey. Solace is unconscious and will need to start making death throes absent a successful Medicine check or healing. Kago cast guiding bolt but did not use his War Priest ability.

Asha has splint mail, a dagger, a scourge, and a divine focus (an amulet in the shape of a spider). K'nyr has a chain shirt and a short sword. Both Drow Guard 1 and 2 have chain shirts, a short sword, and a hand crossbow. None of the other dead creatures has anything. Additionally, the armory was relatively well-stocked with studded leather, hand crossbows, short swords, daggers, rope, crossbow bolts (unpoisoned), and shields. The only food you have found is the barrel of salted fish half-eaten by Yellow Quaggoth.

Kago exits the stalactite effortlessly gripping Asha's limp body with one strong hand. He paused for dramatic effect on the rope bridge, then dropped her small corpse at the sorcerer's feet. They would remember that this was Kago's kill. This was Kago's fight.

Then he made his way again to Solace.

The hulkish brute knelt down, actually set his weapon on the ground next to the near lifeless body, and cradled her head.

Kamael started to move towards Solace, then halted when he realised that Kago was already taking case of her!

"Uhh, thank you..Kago, isn't it? Well struck!
I believe we still have two drow enemies unaccounted for, is that right everyone?
Solace, maybe you should wait for us by the winch? I think we should secure the stalactite though and make sure Ilvara isn't on our backs as soon as we leave!"

Kamael steps over the body of Asha and enters the stalactite. He looks at the quaggoth and points meaningfully at the open trapdoor..

Plain quaggoth growled at Kamael. The white of its teeth flashed in the dim light inside the stalactite with the altar. Still, the creature lowered its hulk through the trap door, only to appear a long minute later with a shake of its head. Nothing, it seem to say. Kamael noted the green ichor from the dead spider on the floor; bile and something sticky and foul-smelling pooled near his feet.

OOC: Make a Perception check if you're inside the stalactite with the altar.

Kamael noticed that when Plain Quaggoth returned from investigating down below, the quaggoth had a small object in its hand that looked to be a statue made of bone and wood with gemstone eyes.

OOC: Mad crazy day here on my end. I'll update later today with Jimjar's response to Brinn. If healing occurs via cure wounds, or any other magical means requiring a dice roll, go ahead and roll it here in the IC.

Raza Thulcandra

Raza rolled over with a groan. It was dark and she couldn't quite see what was going on but it didn't sound good. Except she was still alive so it couldn't be all bad. And Kago and Kamael were speaking so perhaps things were better than they felt in her bones. She murmured quietly to the Mother and she was answered with a cloud of fireflies that bobbed around her head providing dim light. It wouldn't last long but it was enough for her to see Kago tending to Solace.

"Is she dead? How do you fare, Kago?"

Raza squinted in the dimness and pushed herself to her feet. She brushed her hands off on her clothes then called upon stronger magics from the Mother Night. She let the magics knit some of the bruises she suffered then reached out and gently touched Kago's shoulder letting the magic flow from her to him. She continued the channeling until she could see his strength visibly returning.
