Outlands no alignment variant, alignment DR?

I've decided in my campaign that Concordant Opposition/Outlands as a fully Neutral plane on the alignment axis treats everyone and everything as if they were neutral for magic and powers. So smite and detect evil don't work because nobody shows up as evil. Protection from evil will prevent possession but not provide deflection bonuses. Unholy blight treats the paladin and grappling demon both as if they were neutral.

The biggest complication comes from a PC who just had his exalted DR switch from 5/magic to 5/evil.

Should it be 5/- on the outlands in these circumstances or none at all?

This will affect outsider DR as well that they encounter.

Opinions, suggestions, analysis?

Depends what's giving that player the DR. Generally, I'd say since you need evil-aligned weapons to penetrate it, and nothing shows up as evil, you can't puncture the DR, so it's equivalent to 5/-. However, I could also imagine limiting exalted or vile feats by your variant, since people can't check as good or evil to get those feats. I guess it depends where you draw the line in your rules.
