I quite like the burgers at Five Guys, and the fries and hot dogs are also very good. And, hey, free peanuts while you wait!

I've been to In-N-Out once since I moved to California. It was ludicrously busy at like 3 pm on a Saturday, and the food was fine? I think the fact that there are no In-N-Outs in SF might have something to do with how busy it was. It was one of the two down in Daly City, and it was slammed.
