Love biscuits and gravy, love chicken fried steak and gravy...cornbread though. That's one that I find a lot more variance, and generally not as appealing to me. I usually have it with BBQ, but I think few places really do it right.

It's true, cornbread is all over the place. Most just use that Jiffy cornmeal mix. I swear its just floor sweepings after the real corn has been packaged.

Somehow that picture smells amazing and sounds horrible.

I'm just pondering the horror of being responsible for cleaning and wondering what is worse, the chocolate fountain mode for dessert or gravy fountain mode at breakfast.

Almost all cornbread is too sweet for me, and I'm not a fan of the degree to which it disintergrates.

Yeah there is a density to biscuits that is satisfying to me too.

Its funny, I'm pretty fond of country gravy on chicken-fried steak, but on biscuits it doesn't do much for me.

Not even on CFS. I treat that like schnitzel- one of CFS’s probable progenitors- and have it with a squeeze of lemon, or with brown gravy (with lemon) or mushroom gravy (with lemon).

Some places I’ll eat it with turkey gravy (yes…), but NEVER country gravy.
