I think it's classic Hipster behavior. "D&D was cool before they sold out, now I only play (insert name here). Oh, you've never heard of it? Yeah I'm not surprised, it's really indie stuff."

I mostly can't stand anything raw. These days, I've learned to give people who are going to be cooking for me some warning about that. I know it's weird, I try not to be a pain in the ass about it (not that you were saying anything that direction).

That’s important info, IMHO! Telling your host about dietary restrictions, strong preferences & peccadillos is being a good guest.

I mean, I want people to enjoy eating what I’m serving. I’m not interested in having hungry, pouty people at events I’m hosting.

That’s important info, IMHO! Telling your host about dietary restrictions, strong preferences & peccadillos is being a good guest.

I mean, I want people to enjoy eating what I’m serving. I’m not interested in having hungry, pouty people at events I’m hosting.

Yeah, when I'm hosting or otherwise cooking for people, I make it a point to ask about preferences, allergies, and other restrictions. Similar reasons.
