I'm a fan of warlocks, so I'd like to push back against what you wrote here, but I can't. There's not a lot of meaning in the Warlock class, at least not as-written.If the Warlock class actually had some meaning behind the Patron, I think it would be potentially my favourite class. Without that weight however, it just reeks of Mary Sue energy.
I prefer pointless arguments! Why yuck on my yum!I honestly feel like I'm missing something.
But of all the pointless debates, arguing about what a corporation chooses to call a revision to their product seem more pointless than the communal crayon box in a kindergarten.
....thinks....
Okay, not the most pointless. This will always be the most pointless.

But then again, that one was so stupid it circled all the way around back to brilliant.
Something to look forward to!
If corporations can be successfully sued for incompetence will there be any more corporations?OK, apologies for the additional back to back but, I'm in tears.
"CrowdStrike is being sued by its shareholders after a faulty software update by the cybersecurity firm crashed more than eight million computers and caused chaos around the world.
The lawsuit accuses the company of making "false and misleading" statements about its software testing.
It also says the company's share price dropped 32% in the 12 days after the incident, causing a loss in market value of $25bn (£14.5bn).
...
The suit filed in the Austin, Texas federal court, alleges that CrowdStrike executives defrauded investors by making them believe the company's software updates were adequately tested."

I mean I'm sorry, not sorry, I feel for the team that pushed that update because I'm sure someone if not several someones rolled for that one, but I just cannot with 'adequately tested'.
Without the player and the DM both working together to make the story work, none of the things that make the warlock interesting or different (their patron, the terms of their pact, their invocations, etc.) will ever matter.
I recommend the "Svenskdjävlar!" (translates as "Swedish devils!" or "Swedish bastards!") from Haupt Lakrits for the extreme kick of saltiness.. Supposedly the saltiest licorice in the world. The original version is a bit too salty for me, but I do like their "Heta Svenskdjävlar!" which is less salty, but also has some Strawberry and Carolina Reaper in them.Salmiak FTW!
And yes, I am inflicting it upon others. With glee!
I have yet to meet a licorice that I think to myself, "Self, that is too strong." And I keep looking.
