Where biscuits are concerned I'll take Hardy's/Carl's Junior, but you sort of have to give that to a place that posts the name of the "biscuit chef" next to the register. I did, however, recently try Popeye's "Cajun Gravy" and it's a crime they don't do poutine.

I'm not sure I've even every had a biscuit at a Carl's, but I'm not sure I've ever eaten there at breakfast.

I think it helps to think of them as different things. I agree that I like lighter California Mex over the sometimes gloppy Tex-Mex stuff, but it also has its appeal.

Oh, don't get me wrong; Tex-Mex is still good, I just think the Cali version is better.

A propos of noting... A long time ago in grad school, I read a local crime report that included the phrase "assaulted with a biscuit at Carl's Jr." Sadly I don't recall any other details.

The Carl's Jr on Market in SF we used to call Carl's Tweaker. The fact that El Farolito was a block away with a super quesadilla suiza, meant one was going there if having any sense at all.

I don't do spicy - at all. (Weak stomach.) As a result, I really enjoy Raisin' Canes, specifically because it isn't spicy. (Plus, they have really good sweet tea.) Likewise, I love Chik-fil-A, and my favorite taco place is Moe's Southwestern Grill, where they let you put your own spicy sauces on your meal after you've paid for it if you desire (or skip that part entirely, which is what I do).

Bland all the way for me - my favorite Taco Bell sauce is "none."

That’s kinda strange to me as I’ve always found Caine’s to be salty and delicious.

If you had Midwest American poutine, you’d want the dish outlawed.

The fun thing about DMing is you can give your PCs the biggest clue to what's happening in the campaign, and watch your players repeatedly let the words "serial resurrection" go in one ear and out the other without latching onto it.

I suspect I'm going to get a "WAIT A SECOND ..." email from the player who cares about the lore the most in the middle of the night later this week.
