Whats going on over at planewalker.com?? it seems like the spanish version is being update but not the english one. I don't speak spanish!!! Is this the case? If so can the spanish updates be posted on the english site or should I go and get those "learn spanish in 3 weeks" kinda tapes;)

Eep!

Ashy probably missed this, so I'll field it.

While not the truly informed, I do know a bit. Basically, Planewalker was on the fast-track to be updated, and then Ashy's Real Life Monster interceded, and it was put on indefinate hold.

Meanwhile, Planewalker-es was released, and the people over there are busy converting the stuff on Planewalker into espanol. So Horacio and the other bloods are just taking the stuff already on Planewalker, and making it intelligable to those who Spanish. :)

Dang it Kamikaze how come you're always beating me to these mails! ;) Hmmm prolly cause I'm going to bed near when you're breaking for a light lunch. Just to add some value to this for you Paragon, even though their seems to be a bit of a slow down on the chant at Planewalker, us bloods there are still doing some editing of submissions behind the scenes so as soon as the ol' tiefer gets life back on track there will be updates suren.

As KM has said, we are translating all PW.com wonderful stuff into Spanish, so yes, I think the answer is "learn Spanish as soon as possible!"

:)

But seriously, PW.com will come back. Soon. Very soon.
(Those of you who read PW.com forum know why I say 'Soon. Very soon', don't you?)

Planewalker.com

Apparently there was an error, which wasn't captured, and resulted in a problem. (Quiet Murphy!) The owner of the website is out of town and the others are unable to get the host to talk to them, but their programmer, Sara(h?), is trying to fix things as quickly as possible. Thats about the gist of it.

Hush you!

What happened was that someone using a toolbar 'helper' hosed the site with activity. The owners of the server which we were kiling at the time asked us to get it fixed as we were seriously destroying the processors on the machine. Basicly, someone has a toolbar that was crawling the webpage to cache all linked pages to the page they were viewing.

With normal html all this hits is the bandwidth, in our case, since we generate a lot of things out of the database... it got real ugly, real fast.

I came home to about 300 error emails, and more flooding in. I'm rewriting site code right now to make it more robust under that sort of usage, and expect to have the site itself up shortly. Forums may take a little bit more of a rewrite, but we can work it out from there.
