Hush you!
What happened was that someone using a toolbar 'helper' hosed the site with activity. The owners of the server which we were kiling at the time asked us to get it fixed as we were seriously destroying the processors on the machine. Basicly, someone has a toolbar that was crawling the webpage to cache all linked pages to the page they were viewing.
With normal html all this hits is the bandwidth, in our case, since we generate a lot of things out of the database... it got real ugly, real fast.
I came home to about 300 error emails, and more flooding in. I'm rewriting site code right now to make it more robust under that sort of usage, and expect to have the site itself up shortly. Forums may take a little bit more of a rewrite, but we can work it out from there.
