Poll: What Kind of Pet Person Are You?

Well, the title pretty much poses the question: what kind of pet person are you? The selection is limited to 1 choice only, since I'm more or less going for your preferred type of pet overall. For example, I'm a cat person: I have 2 pups that are near & dear to my heart, & I wouldn't give `em up for the world, but honestly, I'm a cat person.

I've tried to cover as many bases that I could, but included an "other" category just in case. If you vote this way, explain what for.

I put 'cat', but 'other' (ferret) would be close.

Ferret is about the only thing my wife and I can agree on, in this arena. She's indifferent (at best) to cats but loves dogs. I love cats and find even the best dogs about as emotionally endearing as a pet rock. Fortunately, she likes big, wolfish dogs. I can at least respect, if not like, them.

I am not one type of pet person. I have cats, birds, a ferret, dog ,turtle and bearded dragon.

I love animals. If I was forced to pick just one I would have to say I am a dog person. I couldn't imagine my life without a dog in it.

cats.

my family has always had cats, going back before i was born. it just feels more natural for a home to have cats in it. i have two cats of my own right now; sisters, one black, one gray.

i heard this from a stand-up comedian many years ago. the essential difference between dogs and cats.

a dog looks at his human and says, "wow, that guy loves me and feeds me and takes care of me... he must be God!"

a cat looks at his human and says, "wow, that guy loves me and feeds me and takes care of me... I must be God!"

Of course, a god or overlord of cats is really a slave to his felines.
