Relics and Rituals 2!!! I GOT IT!!! (More)

I didn't have to ban Magic of Faerun from my game, though. R&R I had more than its share of issues. I'm hoping R&R II will be easier to integrate to a non-Scarred Lands campaign.

I'd LIKE to ban a lot from Magic of Faerun. While it's easy to keep Wizards spells out of circulation in the Scarred Lands, It's MUCH harder in a Faerunian game when you have GUILDS upon GUILDS with spells like Mestil's Acid sheath doing MORE damage than a cone of cold. Or Firebrand. Fire spiders is also another I have problem with along with Energy Transformation Field.

Thanks for the review Nightfall, I've found it very useful. You've done a great effort posting it so quickly.

Some questions:
¿Are there specific Oneiromancy and Chronomancy spells for the Phylacteric's?

¿Is there any discussion on assigning psionic powers to creatures descendant or built by the Slarecians?

You missed all those pics of wood elf initiates in the earlier books, then? I swear, I thought I was reading a Mongoose book for a sec... :o

It was just the DM companion Psion...well that and maybe some of the Ghelspad pics... ;)

Glad I could help Warp.

Yes actually. What happens with Sage of the PV, you have a speciality knowledge. Some sorcerers COULD get but it's mostly wizards, (though I imagine Alchemy is open, the others are mostly knowledge skills and thus more open to wizards and/or cleric/multi-classers after a fashion) This speciality knowledge translates into you learning spells OF that knowledge. Some of the Chronomancy spells deal with number skills and/or truthful things. So there are some divination spells involved, like True strike, auguary, haste slow, etc. You have to be able to know and cast at least five of these to gain access. Dreams are alittle more difficult but if yuou can cast sleep, hyptonism, minor image, daze among others, you're on your way. There are some new spells especially made for each of these, but I think it's much more fun if you read about them don't you? ;)

Uhm sort of. While there's no ACTUAL psionic powers assigned to their construst OR to their creatures, the most interesting thing is, their Power Resistance is equal to that of any Spell Resistance the creature might have. Thus a Slacerian Dragon who has say a SR of 15, has a PR of 15 also.

Btw, thanks Ben! :) I hope you enjoy it. I know I certainly am! :)

Ethan I thank you for dropping by. It's a great honor and pleasure.

I know for me Ben when it comes to the spells in BoEM1, I got a LOT of gripe for when my enchanter wanted to have "Greater Sleep" memorized. There's a similar spell in R&R2 but it's at 6th level and cannot effect a creature with 13 HD or more.

My local store didn't have it (of course :( ), so I'll have to continue bugging you for more details. I did picke up about a dozen new books though :D

Sure Crothy bug away. :) Btw, sorry they didn't have it. I don't know WHY they don't but I guess they take a while to ship...for some reason.

I'm still waiting for a books that have been out for a month and a half.

So, in the spells are there a decent amount of Bard and Ranger spells? Those classes seem to get the least amount of spells, especially cool ones and I really want to see this changed.

Yep there are plenty of cool bard and Ranger spells. One especially neat bard one has a great personal history behind it.

Talen's Maligned Performances (4th level Bard, 4th level Wiz/Sorc spell)cause a increase to the DC of his Perform check by 1 per caster level. In addition, the bard playing thinks that he's doing a great job. :)

Enhanced Senses, a 3rd level Ranger spell (but also available to Druids, clerics and wizards), grants you Dark Vision, and+10 on Spot, listen, Search check plus Scent ability.

Lure is also another good ranger spell in that it causes a person to make a will save or else be overwhelmed with an intense desire to possess something.
