Oh, just one more thing I would like to put forward, but... Would it be a good (TM) idea to - instead of trying to increasingly put ever more information on 2 pages - go back to 3 pages (like in the 2014 version) ? For example, I can imagine you could put the majority of the 'text boxes' (class features, species traits, feats, appearance, backstory, languages, equipment, coins) on a hypothetical 3th sheet, opening up more room for more information on the other 2 pages ? Just a thought, and would like to hear other people's opinions on that, and not asking anyone to actually do that (or not yet, at any rate ;) )
Class features, species traits, and feats are all very important which come up often IME. Have you tried the current version (CS 2024 v2) with an actual character? Are you running out of space on some of those boxes?? I found them pretty good for the sample PC I put in the screenshots in this thread.

I could see putting other information such as appearance, personality, backstory, etc. along with equipment, coins (but not magical items, especially attuned) on a 3rd sheet.

With the current revision, the second page is currently almost entirely for spells as it is. Removing Equipment, Valuable, and Coins from the right-side column would free space but I don't know what especially that would be used for.

All these versions you've been making / editing of these sheets have been fantastic. I've saved several different versions (both of the regular and the form-fillable ones) in case I find I need to use them at some point.

There is one thing I noticed though that I thought I remembered older form-fillable character sheets having that it appears you don't currently have in place-- which is the shrinking of the font size in sections of free typing? So in something like the Class Features boxes... I seem to recall on some of the old 5E14 sheets that as a person typed information into the box and kept hitting Return... once you reached the bottom of the box, rather than a scroll bar appearing as you have it to keep going, instead the font size of everything in the box would automatically reduce in size order to then be able to type more stuff and have it all appear in the box when you hit Print? And this font reduction would occur each time you'd run out of room at the bottom of these free-type boxes. It gave people more space to play with and write stuff, plus would allow it to all show up when the form was printed.

Now whether or not that capability still exists in the current suites of PDF programming I have no idea... nor do I know just how difficult it is to institute rulings like that into form-fillable documents... so feel free to ignore me if that isn't a possibility currently. But if that kind of stuff is still doable, it would certainly give more options and space to people to include more detail and be able to have it all appear when it gets printed. Just an idea!

Thanks again for all your work on this! We all greatly appreciate it!

Yes, it is still there, and an easy change. Since I don't print out the sheet, I prefer the scroll bars for text boxes with large info, but I can make a variant tomorrow and post it.

Which boxes would you prefer to see the shrinking text feature on? On some of them will have "larger text" maybe than might not look good, but you'll get all the info in for printing.

Right now, I am holding off a bit today because I want to make sure there are no other design suggestions concerning the layout (such as the "3rd sheet" discussion).

I should be able to do these tomorrow. I wanted to get everything else done first. I'll keep the proficiency bonus and inspiration above ability scores, but I'll add the fields for the ability DCs next to the saving throws like I did before.
Awesome, thank you! Yeah, I’ve come around on the top being a better spot for those anyway.

For me its the free-text boxes where we would potentially include either additional rules information in addition to the names, or which are ones that one might acquire a lot of stuff overtime. So my personal opinion would be on:

Class Features
Species Traits
Feats
Equipment
Valuables
Magical Items

The other remaining free-text boxes... Languages, Coins, and the box next to Weapons in Other Proficiencies... I don't know if they would ever acquire enough stuff where one would actually reach the bottom of the text box. So they might not need it, but perhaps someone else would say yes? In truth... I suppose including them as well is better safe than sorry if it's easy enough to do.

Hrm. Perhaps you're right. Based on the discussion in this thread, I just got the impression that (especially on the 1st page of the sheets), people wanted more information on there then the available room allowed for. Which in turn lead me to propose that a 3th sheet might be a good idea. Maybe it's not, and not needed after all. Nevermind, then.

Anyway, (for what it's worth) I really appreciate all the effort you are making to create all these sheets variants.

Done. Try it out and let me know if there are any issues.
