The other side of that is, if Ironheart takes on the panther, Ikni doesn't need to worry about it any more. Then she can get out of there and keep reducing the damage to Derien. Although then if the dragon follows, there's nobody to protect Ikni.

Ok. Dragon it is. I need the hp anyway.

Ironheart pops to his feet and pushes past Rhole, attacking the nearest target savagely. Its axe bites deeply into the dragon's hide and, amazingly, sends it staggering back. "HAAA!" the wood woad roars triumphantly, standing a little straighter.

[sblock=ooc]So, yeah. Based on that, I'm inclined to go with having Ikni square up with the panther, and Derien try to get out of there. [/sblock]

Ikni springs to her feet yet again, and turns toward the panther, hands moving in patterns of binding. She takes a defensive stance and blinks her eyes several times, but cannot see anything.

[sblock=actions]Move: stand
Minor: Mark panther w/aegis
Standard: total defense: +2 to defenses tsnt.

save vs. blindness: 8. dang.

[sblock=Secret Escape Plan!]
In case some or all of us needs to escape, I figure the river might be a pretty decent escape path. It's a wind dragon; I figure its swimming capabilities are far inferior to its flying.

That might be a case for Derien very soon, depending on how things turn out. He can sustain from afar and/or underwater after all, and use the strong current to take him farther and farther away without spending actions (he can hold his breath long enough for us to resolve this one way or another).[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]I'm sorry about the delay, guys, but I can't figure it out: where does Derien move such that he can't be double teamed on the monsters' turns?[/sblock]
