What, did the Feywild not give you an adventurer's kit? I suppose I could lend you my rope. What were you planning on using it for? Having the rest of the party, with our average strength of 11ish, drag you out of the swamp because those rotting wood bridges can't support 300 lbs of tree and iron?[/sblock]

No, I was thinking more that I could, uh, "plant" myself on shore and hold one end, while whoever crossed the bridge tied it to themself so I could haul them out when the bridge collapsed. Then they could tie it to something on the other side making something for everyone else to hold on to.

Or I suppose we could tie it to an actual tree.

Also, maybe one of the defenders should hang back a bit with Derien. While it would be helpful to know if an ambush is coming, it would also be helpful if said ambush didn't jump one of our healers.[/sblock]

Conversely, since we're hoping to resolve this with social skills, its nice to have Ironheart's Intimidate mod with us in the negotiations. An aggressive neurotic tree marching in with a halberd over each shoulder and an iron rod in its chest should leave an impression, no?

I am heaviest - if it does not take my weight, the collapse will not endanger another, or strand them on the far side. I will take a rope that you can hold to." It pauses. "I... have no rope." The rumbling voice sounds almost sheepish. "Do any of you have rope?"

Lighting is dim from tiny faeries that fly amongst the swamp and the trees above, dimly illuminating the scenery. So unless you have low-light vision enemies have concealment from you.
