Ikni, face burning as she feels the river tug at her, but she keeps her balance with an effort. She tugs loose another javelin, and hurls it at the winged female thing. A better throw, she judges, but... Without waiting to see if it lands, she turns to sketch a symbol of warding, which floats in the direction of the nearby swordsman. The familiar magic calms her, loosening the bonds that keep her feet tied.

[sblock=actions]The archer's attacks are described as "Trails of fire are left in the wake of the projectiles...". Does that mean fire damage? Ikni resists 5 fire, and would take 10 less damage if so.

Anyway... Minor: aegis of shielding on sword 10, marking him.
Move: pull out another javelin with off-hand
Standard: throw it at the winged female: 16 vs. AC for 9 damage, probably a miss.

Athletics to avoid being pulled downstream: 23
Save vs. Immobilized: 13

There was some fire damage there, for some reason I didn't have you as resistant. Anyways there was a total of 8 (the +1d6 from the rolls), brings you up to 37 [/sblock]

[sblock=resists]I don't think fire resist has come up before. Ikni resists 5 fire, cold, and thunder, from the (awesome) versatile resistance feat. [/sblock]

Ironheart struggles to his feet, eyes flashing a brilliant purple. "Let me out of here, you feytouched f*****," he snarls. "I'll rip you limb from limb and feed your marrow to the plants!" He rages against the encircling blade, without success. At last he stops, throws back his leafy head, and spits a stream of curses at the sky. The outburst seems to invigorate him, and his bark begins to grow together over the sword blade, threatening to engulf it and leave it embedded in his trunk.

Font of Life gives me a save at the beginning of my turn: 3 is a miss. (Invisible Castle is down, so I'm using Online Dice Roller - group name Ring of the Fey Lord.)

Move: Stand
Standard: Second Wind (regain 12 hp and +2 to all defenses until EONT, except +6 to AC due to Guardian Might: Earthstrength)

Derien tries to call for a cleansing flame, but his focus is tainted by the horror-woman, and he only gets a desultory smear of light.[sblock=Actions]Standard: Sacred Flame the woman, miss.

Save versus immobilization: success!.[/sblock]

ooc: JNC, doesn't Resolve also give you temp hp?

Haruka's eye grow wide with alarm as she notices the dragon. It looks like she's attempting to fight against the current, but she quickly disappears under the water. A moment later a black cloud rises from the ground near Derien. The cloud quickly dissipates, revealing a soaking wet Haruka lying on the ground, shadowy tendrils rising from her body like steam. She coughs up some water as she props herself up on one elbow and looks up at her companion.

"This just keeps getting better, doesn't it?" she growls. She grins at the eladrin who challenged her. "Well, for you it's getting worse," she teases as she flings more darts of crimson flame at him. Then her attention turns to the other swordsman, "Don't worry," she whispers sweetly, "I haven't forgotten about you. You'll get your turn."

Rhole strums away relentlessly, once more enrapturing the same eladrin swordsman to submit to the beat. With comical repetition, the bard lures his prey over the bridge so as to plunge face-first back into the river.

Rhole surveys the field and misses more than a few notes upon sighting the dragon.

“Uh… Wow! … Well…”

“Props to you, Sir Dragon, for coming to our aid! In this hour of need, there yet remain hip and noble beings of integrity in these lands. Help us make those vile eladrin culprits see an end to their sins of banditry!”

Diplomacy 33 with Words of Friendship

[sblock=Actions]
Minor: Sustain Song of Courage.
Standard: Cutting Words at Sword 10 hits Will 19 for 8 damage (including -2 from being prone), and Rhole pulls him to M11 (back in the river).
Move: Words of Friendship to plead the dragon for help.

Wow… that must be the best Diplomacy roll I’ve ever made. Hopefully it at least can convince the dragon to hold off for a few rounds before tearing us apart.

Ikni actually hit AC 17, by the way, thanks to Song of Courage.

The eladrin in the water stands up, but is swept away by the ravine. He looks around in anger, but then moves away from the others and towards the ramp at the edge of the water. The other swordsmen moves across the bridge and into Ironheart's thicket, charging at Derien, but his punch is nowhere near to overcoming the cleric's defenses. The eladrin says a few words of arcane power and the blade reappears in his hands.

The dragon hesitates at the gnomes words, at least for now, his eyes narrow as he considers Rhole's statements.

The archer continues to fire off enchanted bolts at Ikni, determined to take the genasi down, moving so she can get a clear shot of him. Both arrows strike true and the intense heat is even too much for Ikni's inborn resistance to flames.

The woman continues to sing her tune and Ironheart is drawn closer to her again. Then she flies across the ravine, and lands next to Haruka, "Well you wanted me, you got me!" she says, her song changing briefly and a terrible discordent sound slams into Haruka, Rhole and Derien as well as the eladrin. Rhole is particularly affected by this sound, perhaps his close ties to music?

Another creature appears from the brush to the east, the beast is a familiar one for some of you, its thick black fur glistens in the light as it charges out from the shadows. With a prodigious leap, it lands on Rhole, tearing a piece of the gnomes flesh out as it bites him.

Sword 10 fails athletics, stands up and total defense.
Sword 20 moves across bridge and charges Derien - Misses with AC 12, still doesn't recharge power, but gets his sword back now.
archer attacks Ikni - Hits twice for 15 (6 additional fire damage, 5 negated) so 10 damage and for 6 (3 fire damage all negated) so 3 after resist. Total damage is 13
winged female: flies across river, lands next to Haruka, blasts all four in the cover with Deadly Screech, hitting all 4 for 3 damage (except Rhole who's crit for 8 damage) and everyone's dazed (save ends). This triggers Harukas' hellish rebuke
Fey Panther appears and charges Rhole - hits for 8 damage

Those in the water, please make an Athletics DC 18 roll on your turn, else you are pushed 3 squares to the west.
