Brae follows after, using his buckler to light the way for his companions.

SoulFetter moves along with his fellow constables, GreatAxe at the ready.

[sblock=Soulfetter]As Soulfetter makes his way down the alley he catches just a glimpse of a figure at the edge of the is vision in the shadows around the corner. It could be a trick of the moving light and falling snow.[/sblock]

The group moves in formation down the alley stepping over garbage and icy patches. The light casts strange shadows ahead of you as Soulfetter and Alarion are in front of the light. Nothing threatening appears as you advance 30' though you sense it might be colder the deeper into the alley you go.

 

[Rhun]

"Is it just me, or is it getting colder?" says Brae, his voice low.

 

[Maidhc O Casain]

SoulFetter's 'whisper' sounds more like the buzzing of an angry bumble bee - a large one - as he warns the others of what he's seen. "Hsst. Be wary . . . I saw movement over there. I smell an ambush."

 

[Rhun]

Brae turns, shining his light in the direction indicated by Soulfetter.

Andrew will also glance in the direction indicated by the great axe indicator

 

[Scotley]

Nothing can be seen now, perhaps it was Soulfetter's imagination, or perhaps whatever is back there has hidden in against the wall. Will you continue to advance?
