She's A Keeper!

You get them over to play D&D and then if things happen to lead to other activities......

This concept has led to many a house rule:

GM - "Ok, ladies, tonight every time you take a hit point of damage, you do a jello-shot!"

Stewardesses - "What?!"

GM - "Make a Reflex Save!"

...So I take it you use the death from massive damage optional rule?

"Crap, I just took 64 points of damage? That's one jello shot for each point?"

Oh my Lord... :(

That's freakin cool man. Once I eventually have kids I hope they show interest in the game aswell. :D

My 11 yo son just ran his first Star Frontiers game. I was so proud. My wife, sadly, is in the 'don't like it' category, though she supports me in my obsession. My three oldest kids have been gamers since they could sit up at the table. D&D (3rd and 1st), Star Frontiers, Star Wars, Hero Quest, Star Wars minis... They saved up their own money to go to the last gaming con here in Austin. My oldest paid his way by running two 3-hour Hero Quest scenarios that he developed himself. In addition to all the outside activities we engage in, it's cool to just hang out with my kids and pretend. You really get to see how they think.

My 3 yo pitches a holy fit when he has to go to bed before we start gaming. He'll be ready soon... muhahahah.

Hey, I don't like to slaughter goblins by the dozen in real life. That doesn't mean I don't like to pretend once in a while...;)
