Definately workable. And it sounds like just the kind of thing that Tullia would do - I don't want to speak for Boarhide but I doubt Fenris would object either.

I wouldn't ;)

update

Accepted Recruits
  • AmorFati Human Soul Knife
  • Bobitron Goblin Druid
  • Fenris Human Rogue/Barabarian
  • Ferrix Human, Sequestered Cleric
  • NonLethal Human, Ranger/Rogue
I am also fond of the Wizard version of Telas. ;)
The addition of the 5th will help to round out the part and give them some more umph in hand to hand.

As for Branding Opportunity, Captain Tagon and Jdvn1 I will keep your names in mind if I am able to start another game. Thank you for the interest. :D ;)

As for the rest of you, continue to work on character backgrounds and character stats. I might be able to start sometime next week. I will post to here the location of the IC, OOC, RG threads later on this week.

Campaign Ideas
Later on this week I will try to get the threads created. I am working on the campaign right now. If there are any other comments about campaign requests - plot elements, entities, or campaign types. Now is the time to do it.

We have a request for
  • urban or wilderness and staying away from Dungeons [Bobitron]
  • Shakedown (1-2 levels) and then getting to the meat of if [Nonlethal Force]

Wizard or Druid

[entering paranoid mode]
Of course, please do not let popular demand determine what you will play unless you are really on the fence about it. Play what you want. I do not want you to feel pressured into playing something that you will not enjoy as much. :uhoh:

Just covering the bases now. ;) [exiting paranoid mode]

There is a certain coolness factor to him being a wizard and the addition of arcane support would be great in terms of shorter term fire power. However, there are certain tactical advantages that a Druid brings that a wizard does not. I do not think that I am really helping here. :(

LOL! Actually, I think you are modeling your own advice pretty well! By lifting up advantages/disadvantages of both - you are helping Bobitron analyze all the sides of the choice without actually taking a personal preference!

And regarding the player listing ... I was scared for a moment cause I was listed fifth. Then I realized that they were in alphabetical order and you were allowing 5 players. Whew! :)

Okay - as far as plot elements. As I stated in my very first post, I really enjoy character development. I would personally like an adventure that not only helps each player get into character (Duh, that's kinda the hope for all games, right?) but also one that encourages party cooperation. Not that we aren't going to have our disagreements, but an adventure that relies at some point on each of our talents would be cool.

As for specific goals, the old standbys are always good: Hunt down the evil mage/psion, find a minor lost artifact, slay the low-level werewolf, and everyone's favorite - withstand the undead horde! :uhoh: But any of those would be cool from my perspective. Other thoughts?

YaY, I am also in! Thanks FX :D

and I agree with Nonlethal here, Character development is great. Spesific goals... I always liked the cliché; "I want to save my friend in a bad spot. Ooops, now I'm entangled in a world-spanning, armageddonish plot of <insert villain>. We need to stop him/her!" Later: "Phew, <insert villain> is dead, now we can rest in peace. Oh, crap, seems like <insert villain> was working for <insert super-villain> all along! Oh well, lets kill him/her then!" :P

In short terms: Plot that unfolds from minor problems to epic proportions. YaY! :D

Don't forget the fun variant of the above plot as the "Whew we killed the Big Bad Evil Guy. Wait, what do you mean he has been reserrected into the living undead form of a <Insert appropriate undead template>?" That's always fun, too!

I think I'm going to stick with the wizard unless somebody can provide a convincing argument why to use the druid. I just like the feel of the build more, and I look forward to conversations with my rat. ;)

Okay, a quick question. When you say max starting gold, do you mean the max 1st level for our character? Or do you mean the full 3,000 gold that we would have "averaged" in gaining our first two levels? Or, some other amount? Just curious. Thanks!
