Sigil is in the DMG!

Who says it has to be floating anywhere? Or that anyone knows where it is within any larger plane? People happen to wander in through portals, and exit via portals, but beyond the edge of the ring they simply see... Nothingness...

It'd be awesome if it's a location without a location, and a persistant mystery as to just where it is.

As I said in the other thread, Sigil may as well float high above the elemental vortex. Maybe it reach the astral sea too. Wanna kill someone ? Send him down in the vortex, thousands of miles below.

Amen, Shem.

Could be fun having lots of "suspected locations" that are horribly hazardous, as well.

Hopefully there'll be a mechanic for hidden astral landscapes in general.

This is my preference as well.

Sure, they'll bastardize it, but at least it's there and will see SOME support.

Best case scenario they take some core elements and entirely reconceptualize the city, keeping as much of its spirit as possible, but not cramming in elements that don't fit with the new cosmology, or which appear to be overly forced adds of new 4e stuff like dragonborn. I'd rather see different than forced fit.

If there's still a Lady of Pain, A'kin the Friendly Fiend (not A'kin the friendly soldier-demon), my board namesake, factions and ex-factions, and razorvine and fog I'll be amused. I still won't use the 4e cosmology, but I'll be interested in the take on Sigil (in a nWoD way). And yes, that said, I'd give a kidney to have a hand in that reconceptualization.

This explains the rumor about your kidney collection.

Really, I'm just hoping they avoid putting in too many things that contradict the old material entirely, so there isn't a great deal of effort in adding in the missing elements while utilizing new material, cosmology aside.

That and a reimagining of the faction abilities would be interesting... especially with the whole "Path" thing...

I'm sorry, but what?!?

The freaking Nexus of all realities can't support the existence of draconic humanoids? Yeah, that makes sense. :\

I doubt dragonborn will gain a major presence in 4e Sigil, but neither should they be banished. Especially since Sigil is supposed to include all realities. Or is it your vision that the entire multiverse is completely devoid of draconic humanoids?

I meant if they suddenly included a massive dragonborn ghetto in Sigil (like an entire nation of dragonborn has already showed up in 4e FR). I wouldn't be opposed to having them around, just not a massive influx that came off as heavy-handed.

I think he means so suddenly 1/8th of NPCs aren't all Dragonborn or something.
