I can't be the only one who was hoping that this would be the year Clark and Lana finally really get over each other. And that Lana gets quietly shuffled off to wherever they're keeping Pete...

This is odd...

I was watching Lana, and not cringing at her scenes. Maybe it was seeing her lovey-dovey attitude towards Lex as just a mask for all her doubts. Or maybe I'm just so deadend to the pain the clunkiness of her usual scenes and dialogue causes that I don't care any more. Might even have been that irish "coffee" I had before watching the show.

And about frakkin' time she learned Clark's secret without a convienent memory wipe or fuzzy explanation. She's either seen or gotten the run-down on most of Clark's powers by this point.

And to top it off, the Magnificient Bastard is back and in top form :]

I did like the way the episode was edited. Made for a nice ensemble piece, aside from Chloe not getting to do much except fill Clark's "Damsel in Distress" quota for the day, and drop the obligatory cheese anvil. Not much action either, but that's what next week's episode is for.

I thought it was a good episode. The one part t I didn't like was that first scene of Lana and Lex at the wedding with no one there and Clark kills Lex. That was to unbelievable even for a dream scene.

The rest of the show was good. Lana and Clark's roles have now switched. She is now the protector, which is a nice twist. I want to see how she will undermine Lex and how scene will bring him down from the inside.

Smallville has just been a cookie cutter teen drama for the most part, I am hoping that the writers and producers decide to push the show a little more with the success of Heroes.

A bit of a sad episode, though I am puzzled by the turn of Lionel. It was a complete shock that he'd threaten to kill Clark if she didn't go through with the marriage. Was this Lionel's paternal instincts or some grander plan.
