Actually, E4 did not cut off early. It was only advertised as ending early (at least in Western Canada). If you used PVR you missed the end, but watching live I caught the issue and rebroadcast on CTV Sci-Fi is the correct 1 hour 20 min episode. That said, in my area rebroadcast was only at 2 AM (or 1:45, I forget which) the next morning after original broadcast. So, if you did not realize the issue immediately then yes, you missed out.

But that was a CTV Sci-Fi or a signal provider issue.

Ah. I did PVR it and when I brought it up on demand, the on demand version cut off at the same time. So I found the last ten elsewhere.

Episode 6 was awesome!!

After the last few episodes, I think there was a worry that this ST would become all teen drama and not bring the real meat of older Star Treks, and this episode proved that dead wrong. I especially love the interaction with Ake and the Rogue (I can never quite get his name right).... In the first episode it was so overdramatic it was almost corny. But now the interaction has weight and tension, it was awesome to watch.

Hehe I also appreciate the curve ball this epsiode threw at the end. When we get the love scenes to start I am thinking "oh here we go, its going to be a romance relationship episode"....and then BOOM the whammy. Great stuff. I look forward to more!

I really like how Braka is given a good amount of complexity while still being a REALLY bad guy.

Initially I was a bit put off by the twist, thinking Star Fleet would never do that! But then thinking about it, governments (and higher ups in the government) do that all the time, where they think they can control someone but then get played hard. Star Fleet higher ups have been shown to be more than arrogant enough to get played as hard as they did by Braka.
