Spoilers Star Trek: Strange New Worlds - Season 3 Viewing (Spoilers)

When Pelia was first introduced it was as a bored Academy professor. So it fits pretty well that she's a bit more hands-off and playing the wise mentor figure to the talented prodigy. And, as @Umbran has noted, she has shown that she can do these things, when called on.
Yeah, the whole reason she's on board is the Enterprise crew is fun! "Oh you're trying to steal a starship? Deal me in!"

So we know where the season’s extras budget went—this one had actual crowd scenes! Although the Farragut has only one crew member (and he spends most of his time on the Enterprise). Some nice exterior ship shots. I’m always a sucker for those.

It did feel like exactly like a Moffat Who episode, as others have said.

So we have s4 next year (with a musical and puppets) and then a 5-ep s5 in 2027 leading up to Kirk taking command. In the continuity does he captain the Farragut first? I assume we’ll get Sulu. Probably not Chekov, maybe McCoy (though there was a different doctor in Where No Man Has Gone Before, so maybe not?)

The way the final scene was framed it made it seem like they just casually decided to pop off on a 5-year mission. I feel like that would be a bigger deal.

Wiring the Enterprise with landlines not doing it for you?
Heh, I read that as "landmines" . . .

Actually, Pelia having a box full of antique landline phones . . . no, I didn't care for that storyline.

But more importantly, Pelia has some great character moments, and some great engineer moments, but overall I think she is underused. Is that okay if I feel that way?

You do see the Farragut's bridge in the scene where Kirk and Spock are doing the mindmeld thing, but it is weird that the Farragut's Captain has no speaking lines whatsoever!

You get to feel however you want.

Do we get to mention things that might mitigate how you feel, may have been overlooked, or engage in discussions of why folks may feel one way or another, or are your feelings posted on a discussion board but not open for discussion?

Yeah, sorry, I was overly sensitive on that one. Shouldn't post at work where the default mode is being overly sensitive.
