Stargate: Did I miss something

I remembered hearing a while back that stargate was in its last season, however I don't remember the show ending. I missed the last couple episodes and then it disappeared. WAs the cancelation immediate?

No the show will be back to finish the rest of its season along with Stargate Atlantis sometime in March I believe. Or maybe May. It's one of those months.

I thought it was supposed to be back in January. March or May either one is too far off.

The 2nd half of season 3 [of Stargate Atlantis] is currently airing in western Canada, and will start airing in January 2007 in central and eastern Canada. (From Wikipedia.)

Man they're lucky in Canada then they've still got about seven seasons left to get through before it ends. Currently it's on season Ten(I'm fairly certain may have hit season 11 though) and at the end of this season it ends as a series. It was the one decent sci-fi series on TV for a decade. Really too bad about BSG the remake had so much promise and it got turned into a soap opera in space.

Missed the Atlantis part and countries don't always pick up series at the same time so I figured it was just that sort of delay.

If memory serves, they had left off after a dragon appeared in the cavern that was holding the device to defeat the Ori, with the Orisi (spelling) not having her powers and Baal along for the ride.

Yep that is where it left off. And Atlantis left off with the city underattck from the replicators and the team going to rescue them and Beckett worring about his wee turtles.
