I've always enjoyed the seas, and it will make a good campaign aide for me as well as I've found many sea ideas work well even on land.

Already bought it. Not bad. Not quite as cool as Frostfell, but it has enough in it that I liked.
Brad

From the intro-chapter of the wotc-excerpt i read that there a new spells and magic items suitable to use for underwater campaigns. BUT...what about rules for casting spells underwater? is this covered in the book? (i don't need new spells, there are already thousands of them out there, but i need clear rules for casting existing spells underwater)

thanx

Yes, I will most certainly be picking this one up as soon as possible. I liked Frostburn and Sandstorm and I think I can find use for Stormwrack as well in my current Eberron campaign.

No, I'm not getting it. If they'd come up with a book that really took care of everything concerning (under)water hazards, combat and locations, it'd be another matter entirely. I just don't need another feat/spell/prC book like that. Wasted opportunity :(.

Undecided, but I'll give it a look simply because Sandstorm wasn't bad and Frostburn was excellent. If it's too much PrC/Feats/Uninspired crunch I won't buy it, but if its got some good evocative ideas it'll get snagged.

Already have it. :)

It won't replace seas of blood as my central seafaring resource, but the deckplans are way cool, it has better seafaring PrCs than I have seen before, nice encounter tables, and I think the skills advice is more sensible than third party takes on the subject.

Eek.

Is that really what it's like? Have you seen it? I haven't - that's why I'm asking.

I hope not, is all. :\

Maybe later, but there are several other books I want (I still need Sandstorm) that I haven't bought yet. And grabbing Spycraft and Iron Heroes at once makes it fairly certain I won't be buying any new game books for a few weeks.
