I may enter the contest this year. I had a bad experience with a different competition a little while ago, and I'm still a little sore, so ... we'll see.

But I promise that I will continue to bring the same level of love for Pumpkin Spice that I bring for your garden variety Bard in the comments!

This got me trying to think of the most verbose entry I can imagine.

And so I typed in what I think it might be... But then I thought that might be fun. And then I thought, that can't win, is there even enough time. And then I thought why not try?

And now I'm desperately trying to get my work done before I fall into that pit...

Sorry for the long stint of silence, folks--my workload has been growing like (obtuse, strained metaphor involving a pumpkin patch).

My entry is coming along nicely, but it's not quite ready to post yet. But in the meantime, I wanted to let you know that there is another prize available for the lucky contestants: our very own @DiceGrimorium has donated "a 3-map series featuring lots of pumpkins.
