The Blue & The Grey (Long Shots)

Heywood orders his meal. After the waiter walks off, he leans toward his partner and lowers his voice. "How do you want to play this? Do we come out announcing who we are? Or do we come up with a story...say, knowing Louis from way back and we're looking for him?"

"I say we play this as who we are. If we lie to these guys they will never trust us." Bishop will state.

Looking around trying to get a feel for things and people.

"It might be just as easy to talk to the Bartender. Ask him who we need to talk too. No guns. As long as we are calm they will be. Respect that is the key." Bishop will finish, remember his days as a cop in Portland.

"Fair enough." Heywood nods and looks around the place trying to get a feel for the people in there. He is specifically looking for anyone that stands out or is watching them.

Noticing Heywood looking around. "Lets order, eat and then worry about it. I figure they will approach us. If not we talk to the bartender." Bisop will mention, ordering a steak.

[sblock] I am going to Denver for two weeks for some training. I will have sporadic internet access. I hope to keep posting but I cannot promise anything. [/sblock]

A few people have noted you, yet don't seem to give you too much further thought. Your drinks come, followed shortly by what looks to be a manager - a thin guy dressed in expensive but casual clothes.

"Hi, fellows. Name's DiNapoli - call me 'Little Charlie'. You either look like you're new in town, or cops failing badly at undercover work."

"Nice to me you Little Charlie." Bishop will say with sincerity. "But we cannot be failing to be undercover cops if we wanted you to know we are cops."

"We were wondering if we could talk to about a guy who has been here before?" Bishop will mention.

Heywood takes a sip of his drink. "Louis Aiello. We know he was here sometime before he disappeared and we're trying to find out what happened. So, why don't you tell us what you know."

"Because we want to collect a gambling debt." Heywood rolls his eyes. "Look, we're cops. He disappeared. Do the math. So, are you going to help us out?"
