Oh, so you want to play twice a month on a VTT, but because you insist on using all the bells and whistles it takes you two months to set up a one shot. Hmm…

Maybe I'm just getting grumpy in my old age, but does anybody else get offended that as soon as March rolls around every single last thing in the world is somehow related to St. Patrick's Day?

Because St. Patrick's Day is coming up, you call your article "29 Irish Side Dishes" then in the second line say that they're "Irish-inspired"...
Just having potatoes and/or cabbage in it does not make it an "Irish side dish" or even "Irish-inspired", you bloody leathcheann...

I know I'm second-generation American, and only technically still "Irish" by virtue of the grandfather-rule about Irish citizenship... But kimchi is NOT an acceptable green to put in colcannon.

Maidin mhaith. Conas atá tú?

It really blows people's heads when they learn that corned beef and cabbage as done in the US for the day isn't actually Irish.

You could take a break and prep for St. Urho's day. One day before even, so if you do that well enough you won't have to notice all the faux Irish folks drinking themselves to a stupor the next day.

And no one can really tell you you're celebrating St.Urho's day wrong!

;-)

My ancestors left Ireland for Scotland in the 1400s for a reason! I don't know what that reason was, but there was one.

I think cabbage is fine. It's not something I eat every day, and it's pretty high in alkaloids so I can understand why some people don't care for the taste and I'm not gonna yell at them for hating it. But I think that if it's prepared right, it can be a wonderful addition to the right meal. Corned beef & cabbage, coleslaw and fried chicken, thinly-shredded on fish tacos...

Anyway. Enough about psionics.

Then: I really love everything about this. You are all over reacting! Why won't you believe them?

Now: Wait, what? Not my favorite thing!?!?! Ack!

Honestly, we get most of whatever desire we might have for cabbage assuaged by having Brussels sprouts. With the relatively recent varieties, they do really well roasted.
