I was going to make a snarky comment about porters usually tasting like chocolate and stouts usually tasting like coffee. Then I went and found the judging guidelines for beer tastings (specifically American porter and American stout) and ... that's pretty much exactly right. Yay, I'm a nerd.I mean, move on to something important like Stouts vs. Porters, Yams vs. Sweet Potatoes (I think I actually know that one), or Soggy Cardboard vs NY Style.
