Oh FR works best, but I just feel Dragonlance would be a good change of pace. I'm always playing FR or some homebrew.

Alchemy Jug - 250 gp

Also, at times I worry about all the magic and levels I'm giving you, then I read something like "Anyone in this space at this time is squished to a pulp. There is no appeal."

And I feel better.

So updated my character and think he is done except for Background. I have 1568 GP left over if someone needs some extra gold. If we pool everything we have left over we might be able to get a nice item the group can use. Also remember expensive spell components. I'm bringing 1200 GP worth of diamonds so I can cast Revivify when needed.

Ok, I've finished reading through the Tomb of Horrors, and am going to make some adjustments. You don't need to know what those adjustments are. I will, however, be making adjustments to the rewards as well, to match the upped difficulty.

You poof into existence right in front of the tomb, having no history, and magically know how to use your items and that you're supposed to help each other get to the boss at the end of the game.

No, I'm going to leave the backstory up to you, but we're going to just start with all of you coming up to where you believe the tomb should be. Once y'all have your characters together, I will give you a little bit of the Lore that you have uncovered. I would prefer if you all have been traveling together for a long time, and this tomb is just the next stop on your adventures. Once I hear your group's backstory (personal backstories are optional), then I'll give you a hook or three as to why you're going to the tomb in the first place.

To be honest, I've been thinking about what would happen after the game is run, if anyone survives, and I wouldn't mind just continuing the characters, following them on their adventures, and almost creating a "Living World" where you can just continue as you will.

But you'll have to survive first, and that isn't guaranteed.

Oh, and if someone dies and is raised from the dead, their level goes down by one. Cause life is a b****.

If I were writing your backstory, i'd say you were your own guild/adventuring party that has been traveling together for years. You each have found a ton of magic items, a lot of loot, perhaps even have your own home base (such as a castle or keep). Some of you may even have titles of nobility, if you like that sort of thing.

In this case, I'd say that you heard another group of adventurers who are on your level claim to have found the tomb. They were never heard from again. This other group was well known to you, and you had a friendly rivalry with them. They also had a number of magical items, including a Moonblade, which belonged to their leader, a Half Elven Bard. Rumors abound of other other adventurers who have found the crypt over the centuries, but no one ever comes back.

So your group has done some investigation, and have come to the place you believe your 'friends' say is the location of the Tomb of the Lich Acererak. Only, all you see is a big hill.

So we're going to go with that. You can fill in whatever holes you want to for your group and individual characters.

Setting mmeans nothing to me I know next to nothing about any of them. That clone spell looking pretty good... I'm assuming I cast it some time ago so its fully grown same with simacrilum.

Where do we stand on adding spells to my book. I would say it's pretty reasonable in 15 levels that I have picked some extras up.
