If I underastand things properly, we have two options for proceeding, that I've noted on the image below:

1. the arrow. I think that is the doorway that is being operated by the key.
2. the circle (ok -- "circle"). There is a lever and apparently two doors. That's my proposal for which way to go next, but I think someone should just pick a route and we'll follow.

Onwards!

This is exactly correct

Just a quick note to say I will be travelling for the next 3 weeks. I expect to be online regularly/daily, but if it looks like I'm missing something and there's no response in any given 18 hour period, feel free to push me along.

No worries.

Also, fyi, I’m not ignoring people. I’m at my cottage again and will be home tonight to make a post.

Lower grapple damage to 4...unarmed style says you do 1d4, but there is no mention of strength bonus.

On the other hand, magic just might apply so may be 5 instead of 4 damage...

The old tavern brawler was d4+strength. Regular unarmed attacks were 1+strength.

But if you are talking the auto grappling damage, then I’m not sure

As a reminder, grappling just imposes grappled condition ... when the target misses its saving throw (its choice of Dex or Str). Grappling does not do damage. If you want to do damage, you have to choose to do damage with the unarmed strike, not grapple.

Unarmed fighting style, however, let's you do 1d4 damage at the start of your turn to a critter with the grappled condition. Which means that after you successfully grapple, every turn after (at the start of your turn) you can do 1d4 damage to it while maintaining the grappled condition (it's action-free damage).

IMO, YMMV, don't look at me for rules after forced movement.
