Tournament of Champions CR .5 to 5 (Archive)

OOC: I will post Gemmo's move ahead of time, because Gemmo does not know where Sandy is.

[sblock]Gemmo will come up at 80N50E and give a migraine if Sandy is in reach. If Sandy is not in reach, Gemmo will burrow to 90N60E-10Z, and then start burrowing down and around and wait out the draw.[/sblock]

Rassa-frassin' burrowers. Hey, Psybo, wake up the crowds.
[sblock] Sandy will hover down to 60n40e30z and a move action to hover just above Gemmo whereever Gemmo pops up. If Sandy gets an AoO from Gemmo manifesting a power, she'll try a grapple (because there will be no counter AoO). Otherwise, she'll just attack. [/sblock]

The neutral good types give each other knowing smiles, thinking of their previous champion Gelharin and his burrowing. But he executed his moves with so much more pizzazz...

Sandy's location wasn't meant to be known to Gemmo, unless Gemmo can see her? Anyway, Sandy . . . [sblock] . . . loses patience and hovers down to 0z (costs 60ft of flight, half her movement, so I assume that leaves her with an equal proportion of burrowing left), and then she burrows downward to -10z. If no sign of Gemmo, she'll burrow back up and fly off to 60n80e10z, heading east. If she finds Gemmo, she'll attack with a bite. [/sblock]

Round 15: No Gemmo.

Round 16: No Gemmo.

Psybo enters the arena, surrounded by the echos of massive boos.

"After 16 rounds, we have a draw. Calm down everybody, or I'll fry all of your brains and stomp on those of you who don't have any. We'll resume with two new combatants shortly."

“We will now resume our first quarterfinal match featuring the best of the Lawful Neutral forces against the best of the Chaotic Neutral forces.”

Making his way into the arena and starting at position 60N0E, this combatant measures 4 feet long and weighs 50 pounds. He has a record of three wins, one loss, and zero draws. All three of his victories were a result of his opponent leaving the arena. His only loss came to Neutral’s superior Snowcloak. Representing the forces of Lawful Neutral, please welcome the rust dragon wyrmling FeeeeeeeeeeeeeeOOOOOOOOO!”

FeO enters to the polite applause of the Lawful Neutral faction of the audience. He is a small dragon who has reddish-brown scales that resemble rusty armor.

“And now making his way into the arena and starting at position 60N115E, this combatant measures 4 feet long and weighs 50 pounds. He has a record of one win, one loss, and zero draws in the main battle. He defeated a large animated table and barely lost to a lion. Representing the forces of Chaotic Neutral, please welcome the very young fang dragon Faaaaaaaaaang Twoooooooooooooooooo!”

The hoots and hollers of the Chaotic Neutral faction welcome Fang II’s entrance. This sheet-metal-colored dragon stands on all fours, pawing at the earth in restless anticipation of the impending bloodshed. Long, sharp spikes cover his body and his silver teeth glisten. He has an abnormally large mouth and larger claws than would normally be attributed to such a dragon. He opens his mouth and the crowds and his opponent hear the sounds of an ape.

Psybo communicates telepathically to the two combatants. “Fang, you will have initiative in the first round unless the Chaotic Neutral representative tells me otherwise.”

Ding Ding! Round 1!

Fang II growls deeply, sounding like a leopard (no, really) and starts off at a near run, charging quickly toward Feo. The spiny-covered dragon lowers his head as he approaches the western side of the battlefield and plows into the rust-colored lizard, trying to knock him out of the arena before he can react.
[sblock] Charging bull rush. +2 on the strength check due to charging. Feo is flat-footed so unless he has combat reflexes, no AoO. [/sblock]

Fang pushes FeO out of the arena! (Rolled 18 vs. 7 Bull Rush checks)

"The winner, by force-out after one round, Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang!"

"Come back tomorrow for our second quarterfinal, Neutral Good vs. Neutral Evil."
