Traditional Buffy and Angel Thread (Spoilers for both)

Crothian

First Post
Since nobody else has, I will start the thread and I'm combining them for sake of ease.

Angel was interesting. I'm not sure if they have plans to use Electric Girl more. It seems they set it up that wa, otherwise I have no idea why we got her flashback.

Buffy was good. I liked that fate could not be stopped, although I was hoping it would be. I've seen that actress (the girl who died) before and I just can't seem to place her.

Angel was good. The ending was cute, with Angel waxing philosophical about Cordelia being where she needed to be, then Cordy saying, "Get a clue! Get me out of here!" Peter David commented on the episode on his homepage, and wondered if we know whether or not Angel's heart is still beating, after that electric jumpstart.

I liked this week's Buffy more than the past couple episodes this season. The actress you're thinking of, Crothian, is Azura Skye. I don't know what you've seen her in, but according to Internet Movie Database, she was a bookseller in Red Dragon. Also, the cult guy was "Brad" from Home Improvement. Buffy acquitted herself well as a counselor. But what exactly, I wonder, will "she" (most likely Buffy) tell Spike (as the psychic girl told him)? Perhaps forgiveness?

I was a little disappointed with the episode. I think that they have managed to have some very emotionally charged plots before without ignoring the sub-plots. That is to say that most shows I have seen have been well-balanced between Role-play and Hack & Slash, so to speak. The demon/summoning/fighting in this episode seemed like it was kinda thrown in there and it wasn't very satisfying, despite the main story with the precog (and the Scooby gang's helplessness) being very moving.

Every now and then a I like a session with very little dice. THe final fight was rather pathetic, at the very least Spike could have identified the demon and its weakness and then they kill it that way. I liked that all the dealt with was this episode. I think they have been tieing the episodes together a little to much.

True enough. I suppose they felt obligated to throw it in but wanted to down play it.

What, btw, was the point of showing that Spike was in pain while hitting the kid who summoned the demon (I assume to show that the kid wasn''t really bad), but then having the kid crawl up (unrepentant) to the dying demon begging for the wealth he desired.

Don't be too sure. That final bite might have some future ramifications. ;)

Well, Spike reacts that way when ever he hits a person. I think they were just sticking with what they set up. And that bite at the end was odd. I guess they could do something with him later.

Next week looks good. I like Anya and can't wait to get an episode of her.

Actually, I think the point was to establish two things:

1)The kid was not exactly firing on all cylinders. Most folks might drop the subject after being beaten up. But this kid's a real devotee, it seems.

2)Spike is now so crazy that physical pain means darned little to him. It used to be that striking a human once was enough to stop him in his tracks. But now he shrugs it off and can whack at the kid again.

The latter being more important, I'd wager...

Nuts ... the channel I get Buffy on never shows the preview.

Anyone know what kind of media player you need to see the previews on the Buffy site?

Well in my spoilers (as i predicted), everything i have said has come to pass.

Next week we will see Anya sing and we will find out what exactly caused her bunny phobia. Im anxiously expecting that.

As far as the girl, since no one answered it,

Azura Skye was in 28 Days (Sandra Bullocks roomate. She had black hair), Red Dragon (Book Seller), Zoe, Duncan, Jack and Jane (as Jane) and in EDtv (as an interviewed teenager)

I cant beleive Buffy will tell spike she loves him ("She will tell you.) and we all know since this is Buffys last season, it will go out with a bang ("You will help. Oh, you will")

I felt bad for dawn for the first time.
