TURTLEDOME!: Battle Bone (DM: KenHood, Judge: Lord S.)

Out of Character

Reklaw,

I'm still waiting for Finnian's player to post, so I can't apply your actions, yet. However, I'll do so once he jumps in.

I reckon I'll wait until this evening. If I don't hear anything from him, I'll move his character to the end of the initiative, so we can keep moving.

Plus...

*cough*

There may be some interrupt actions to resolve... :angel:

[sblock=OOC]So sorry. Just figured out that my thread subscription isn't working. It says I'm subscribed, but when I log back in, I'm not. I'll go to the support forum for help with this.

I need to catch up on the last couple days and figure out where we are before I post a combat action. I'll post within the next 90 minutes.

Well, that didn't work out. Had to go help a friend. I will post today, just as soon as I can.[/sblock]

OOC: Sorry, Weldon. It's been over 24 hours, so I'm going to move the combat ahead, in order to let the other players get a chance.

Round 1...
Finnian, shocked by the violence of Cousin Eustace, hesitates.

Drivan retreats and gathers energy for a magic missile. Cousin Eustace shouts, "Naemag'k!" The hardcore halfling pries up a cobblestone with the toe of his boot, flips it in the air, and kicks it at Drivan's head.

[sblock=Action]Immediate Interrupt, "No Magic!", v. Fortitude (1d20+3=5)[/sblock]
Fortune is kind, because the stone sails past Drivan's head and smashes into the trunk of the tree behind the wizard.

Drivan's magic missile strikes true.

Cousin Eustace growls at the mage and shakes his fist. "Yaelaelbusteeered!"

"Oh, gods! You shouldn't have done that!" yells Marco, "Run, Drivan! Run!"

Hadarai continues grunting and bending in pain--and wonders if he'll ever be able to reproduce after this.

---

OOC: Drivan is now located at (K, 13) -- any square with a plant is difficult terrain.

Vaunea, you're up, but you're dazed! (If you draw your weapon, you end up using your turn.)

[sblock=Hey, folks!]Send me a PM with an e-mail address where I can harass you about your turns. Waiting is KILLING me![/sblock]

[sblock=Weldon]Okay. When you post, that will be your turn in the initiative order.[/sblock]

[sblock=fireinthedust]Hey! It's not your turn, yet! You have to wait until after Cousin Eustace moves...:uhoh:[/sblock]

[sblock='OOC']Sorry about that guys. I had to drive back from GA this weekend and I didn't have the internet during that time to post that I wouldn't be on.[/sblock]

You hear a loud roar as the hot coffee splashes against Vaunea's face. In a fit of rage, Vaunea reaches out and attempts to grapple her attacker.

[sblock='Grapple']1d20+4->7 and I mark Eustace.[/sblock]

Vaunea flails wildly with her large hands and just misses beaning Hadarai in the head as she whiffs on her grab attempt.

[sblock='OOC']For future reference, whenever Vaunea is walking outside of town, she always has her axe drawn. Since I didn't make this distinction before combat and missed the prelude, I'll just assume that's my price to pay for not having been able to let you all know that I would be unavailable for a while. ;) [/sblock]

[sblock=fireinthedust]Hey! It's not your turn, yet! You have to wait until after Cousin Eustace moves...:uhoh:[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Yes, but it's PBP! If we wait, each of us, until it's our specific turn before we post, then the chances of hold ups from delays will increase possibly beyond tolerance. I mean, we're still waiting on Finnian, right? (or were) because of whatever RL issues were holding up that post. If he wins initiative, then goes fishing, the rest of us will go nuts. This way you have my move, and on my turn you don't have to wait yet again, just in case I go fishing moments before he posts.
That's the good part of pbp, as if it were RL then turns would matter. :angel:[/sblock]

Round 1 (continued)...
Vaunea roars and grabs at Cousin Eustace. The halfling dives through her arms and rushes after Drivan. "Taesloo!"

[sblock=Opportunity Attacks]Vaunea and Emral have opportunity attacks, if they wish to use them.[/sblock]

Cousin Eustace attempts to grab Drivan and prevent the mage from moving, but fails to unbalance his opponent. Then, the halfling attempts to poke Drivan in the eyes, but the mage manages to dodge at the last second.

*Actions changed by Vaunea's successful opportunity attack and combat superiority.*
